Obama Gaffe: "My Muslim Faith"

It dosn't matter that there wern't any Iraqis on those planes. They were muslims killing infidels in the name of Allah. How many Iraqis set of car bombs in Iraq? How many Americans did they kill and mame with road side bombs in the name of Allah? How many innocents do muslims kill in the name of Allah?
What you better get through your head right now is that American troops were the tip of the spear that that Bush administration used to gut the nation of Iraq with. Do you seriously think, for even a single ****ing second, that if an army invaded the U.S. you wouldn't kill them with a road side bomb? I sure as hell would.

Do not confuse nationalist Iraqi insurgents with extremist Islamic terrorists. They are not necessarily the same.
Have they twisted Islam to justify there hatred of infidels or another tribe of muslims. Or have they been twisted by Islam. It dosn't matter, they will continue to kill in the name of Allah. How do we deal with them. Should we ignore them and hope that they go away. Do we use dipolomacy to legitimize them. Or do we hunt them down and kill the mother****ers before they kill us.
You assist moderate Islam in deconstructing breeding grounds for radical Islam...and you go after and take out those Islamic terrorist threats where they hide. You have to fight this battle on multiple fronts with multiple weapons. Diplomacy is one such "weapon." "Reason" and "cooperation" are other such "weapons."
I say we hunt them down and kill them before they kill us. Theres an old jewish saying that goes like this. If someone comes to kill you. Rise up and kill him first.
If you can accurately identify the real threat, then I say take it out.

You don't really believe that, do you?
I have no way of knowing 100% if it was either of my explanations or even something else.

Who do you think we are, the sons and daughters of Pandora?

Soo.. I wonder what has killed the other more throughout history. Islam or Christianity? Not that awnsering this question will solve anything. What are the death tolls from our Christian nation by muslims and what are the death tolls to muslims from our Christian nation?
You fight a book with a book.
You fight a fighter with a fighter.
You dont fight an innocent with a bomb because of a book.

There is a difference between a religious fanatic who soley bombs "infidels" because he thinks Allah wants him to and a man who believes in God whos main source of religion is the Koran and sees our troops their as an invasion on people and thinks he should bomb um.

We just point the finger at muslims and hope it works when we do everything but turn the other cheek.

Not as many as were killed under atheism. ;)

I bet there has been more people who call themselves Christians that have slaughtered people and branded the prey as athiests or witches or terrorist or jews or savages than there is athiests that killed.

I bet there are few who have killed for the concept of athiesm.

Everything bad is done with a fake suger coating of goodness. Otherwise the average human concious would not allow it. At least thats what I like to believe.
The Bible doesn't make you a good person or a bad person.
You choosing to do good or bad is the cornerstone.
The Koran doesn't make you a good person or a bad person.
You choosing to do good or bad is the cornerstone.

You've touched on two separate points.

If you can't discern what is or isn't appropriate behavior for a presidential candidate are you sure you are capable of making an informed choice?

And, taking Obama at his word that he is a Christian, if he could be a member of a church which stood in opposition to our government and the majority of this country's population for 20 years wouldn't that be enough to show you that his views were not those of a moderate person?

Trinity United is a church which honored and revered the Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan and joined in his hostility to whites, and Rev. Wright is also reputed to have been a Muslim at one point.

So, at what point does his free Blackness pass end for you?

And as far as voting for a Muslim is concerned, it would be an act of sheer guesswork until we come to a National agreement about whether Islam is a danger to our nation or not.

Obama says he is a Christian so we must take him at his word. But his associations as a Christian are sufficiently weak to justify our just saying, "no," to the freshman senator.

Last I checked, there is no religious test to gain office in the United States of America.

Last I checked, Freedom of Religion is still something we hold dear.

Last I checked, the requirements for president does not state one must be Christian or that one must not be Muslim.

Until one of those three things changed, I don't care if someone is Muslim, Christian, Atheist, Budhist, Satanist, Jew, or Zoroastrian. I will vote on them based on the issues and my personal judgment of their character and capacities to hold the office. I would put more stock in the character and judgment of a moderate muslim over an extremist fundamentalist any day of the week.

As long as whatever person enters into the office realizes that there will never be a state religion of the United States, and that neither the 10 commandments nor Sha'aria Law will be the law of this land or any other religious doctrine, then I don't care. As long as we continue to have a Supreme Court that will actually uphold the constitution in this matter and a Senate that will know their place as well, then I"m fine.

There are legitimate issues with Obama. Hell, looking at some of the courts in Europe currently, the supreme court issue above is one reason I actually would never imagine to even dare vote for him. But whether or not he's a Muslim.

The man has stated he is not a Muslim. There is absolutely 0 legitimate, factual, hard evidence that he IS a Muslim. That is good enough for me.

For someone who prides himself on knowing everything about Iraq, you sure seem to fail to incorporate the first lesson of warfare into your beliefs: information.

It does matter if there were Iraqis on those planes.
It does matter who sets the car bombs.
It does matter who we are fighting.

Have you learned nothing from the cold war?

You people? Whom are "you people", you mean you people who have been bashing Bush's faith for 8 years? You mean those "you people"?

You people meaning the close minded, right wing, intolerant, partisan hacks. Now if you don't fit that mold, you have nothing to worry about.

So should he have waited thirty seconds and said..."Uh, oh...did I say Muslim faith?"

What are you two on about regarding how "quickly" he corrected himself? What are you trying to say?

On the interview segment shown tonight that Obama did with Bill O'Reilly last Thursday, I noticed that Obama made a similar slip of the tongue about something but nothing as potentially embarrassing as his "Muslim religion" slip.

When that video becomes available someone should do a side by side comparison to see how he reacted to this slip compared to how he reacted to the one with George Stepanopoulous.

Sooooooo???????

What are you getting on about?

What? Before we simply welcome Islam as a religion? I have news for you bhkad, Islam is a religion and it's here whether you like it or not. You aren't going to stop it, contain it, restrict it, limit it, or anything else. You obviously have not welcomed it as a religion...that much is obvious. And you obviously have very little understanding of it. That much is also obvious. Your very one tracked, Islam is evil mantra is prima facia evidence.

Do you think you are the only person around who has actually studied Islam or been exposed to it? Because you are not. You think your adventure into the internet land has given you some miraculous insight into the minds of Muslims. You get on this forum and pretend that you are enlightening the membership with your nuggets of fear and ignorance. You make thread after thread and post after post espousing your extremist viewpoint, putting on some kind of performance in which you pretend to play an objective student of the subject intent only on spreading information so that others can make an informed decision. The only problem is, you only present one side of the story...the side that leads right back to your fanatical theory that Islam is intent on domination of the world and that all Muslims are to some degree sleeper operatives waiting to subjugate the rest of us. It's getting so old watching you do this.

I'm sorry...what did I just read? We need to stop assuming we understand Islam and form a national consensus? So in the wake of "not understanding" Islam, we should just all come together and form a national group think about a religion that spans the globe and is comprised of possibly a billion people or more? Do you actually want to be taken seriously on this forum? If you do, you need to stop posting nonsense like this.

Half the country thinks of Muslims as just another minority, like Blacks or Hispanics or Asians. Another half thinks Muslims are all terrorists. A third half ( ;) ) is just not sure.

Don't you think it's time we corrected all the wrong thinkers and got everyone to embrace Islam?

Why do you continually try to restrict my 1st Amendment rights when it comes to discussions of Islam, Mr. Law Enforcement Officer?

Are you responsible for keeping DP posters "in line?"

Do you get in trouble with your higher-ups when posters get too close to telling the truth about Islam?

Well, you needn't worry. I'm just calling for everyone to love Muslims. All we have to do is just all conclude that Islam is no threat to our government, form of government and/or way of life.

You shouldn't feel concerned about that.

Should you?

Sooooooo???????

What are you getting on about?

Just pay attention and hopefully you will figure it out without anyone having to explain it to you.

Very unfortunate Gaffe.

I wonder how many of the ones pushing that Obama is a secret Muslim do you think actually believe it?

For example, sometimes you can just tell that a person couldn't care less if its true or not but just wants to use it as a tool to hurt the Candidate.
But in some cases it is clear that they fully believe it without any evidence what so ever.

I actually met someone the other day that knew nothing about either candidate.
I asked her who she will vote for and she said, "I wont vote for a Muslim.".
She could not tell me which candidate was the Muslim. Only that she was positive that one of them is a Muslim.

I told her that "McCain is the Muslim". And changed the subject lol.

Sorry, but you are arguing a sophomoric point.

What prompts Islamic terrorists?

What prompts Islamic terrorists to travel to distant countries to fight infidels?

It is not their nationality. They see the whole world as belonging to Allah; half of it is in Muslim control. The other half has yet to be conquered and the duty of all Muslims is to perform Jihad in it's various forms in order to work toward total domination someday.

And, even though I believe this to be correct, there may be aspects of this understanding which may be incorrect.

Everyone see what I mean?

We need to get everyone on the same page.

A national consensus is needed so we can ALL agree on what Islam is and what Jihad is and what is the nature of each and what are the goals of both?

Give me the number. i got a huge number for you. ;)

I dare not awnser for I truely believe any statistics that I could look up might possibly be thwarted by previous control established. Call it the liberal "I didn't do it so why should I have to pay for it." approach.

got to watch Obama's O'Reilly interview tonight
think it will do him well
I have never seen him in a better light
withstood the heat, which i thought was a bit much at times
didn't look like he was fumbling for answers or spinning into oblivion

still not going to vote for the community organizer/interim senator
but he did himself well to go on the show

and still think O'Reilly could have shown him more respect, like he showed Kerry
one can respect the office even if one rejects the office holder

I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic church throughout undergrad, went to Catholic school as a kid. Attended religiously for well over 20 years. I don't agree with them nor am I aligned with the theology. Do I win?

As stated in other threads, I don't care about religion. All these people in office claiming some form of Christianity....how many actually live by the edicts and teachings of Christ? If they ain't out cheating the People, stealing our money, lying to our faces, and doing everything they can to keep in power through the most underhanded and corrupt manners possible. Religion in our government is given lip service. Oh look at that guy, he's a Christian...yeah right, while he's traveling abroad to have sex with little boys or whatever other sick fetish the aristocracy has. I'd say probably only a handful of politicians live by the words of their god, otherwise it's all just part of the show they put on for the rest of us. So I don't care if one is "christian" or "muslim" or "jewish", all that matters is the political platform and ideology.

Congratulations on attending a Church for 20 years that you disagreed with.

How many years as an adult when you weren't forced to attend services every week? I hated going to Church as a kid. The point is that most adults will not attend a Church for twenty years if they do not agree with the theology. To do so is hypocritical, masochistic, deceptive and maybe even sacrilegious. And what would that say about Obama's psychological makeup?

Ikari, do you recognize that Islam is more than a religion? It is a political system with goals that are in direct opposition to our own system of government.

When you lump Jews, Christians and Muslims together there is a huge difference.

If I were a peaceful and devout Muslim who was completely assimilated into American society and I just happened to be President of the United States, you know what I would do as part of my peaceful Jihad?

I would promote the idea of increasing the immigration quotas so that greater numbers of Muslims could come here and I would make sure that they were subsidized with public entitlement programs and could live comfortably once they arrived.

And after my term was over no one at all could ever say I was a bad POTUS. In fact, after I left office I'd hope the country would look forward to electing their next Muslim President as soon as possible.

And no one would ever be able to say I ever worked against the best interests of the United States and humanity.

And I would live in happiness and health and honor until I was very old and then one day pass on.

And I would leave this life pretty confident that I had done more to advance the goal of total global Islamic domination than most any person in my lifetime.

Why & how?

Because I'd know that I opened the door and because no one ever got suspicious, the door would stay open long enough for Muslim populations to grow large enough that they were able to start demanding Islamic courts here in the US. And Islamic police forces. And certain parts of this country would be off limits to showing the American flag because it would upset the Muslim majority in that area. And Muslim politicians would be elected right and left.

And then America would be on it's way to Islamization.

And all I did was to do a humanitarian thing that everyone would applaud.

;)

Actually, he got your post spot on. You were attempting to connect the dots between two issues that didn't connect in order to make an inaccurate assertion to falsely alarm people to believe that Obama is Muslim.

He's not, but please, when you have some conclusive evidence of this, post it. You haven't yet.
