NYC is now home to over 58K ‘criminal’ migrants — including more than 1,000 gang members

A policy that tolerates illegal immigration.

Think about it. If illegal immigration were a problem that Joe Biden really wanted solved, would he have put Harris in charge of solving it?
I don't think she ever made it to the border, not once.

Exactly, how else can compensation and working conditions remain such that there are so many jobs that only (a constant inflow of) ‘undocumented’ immigrants (newcomers?) will do?
Yup, that's a bullshit argument the left makes.

It cost them the presidency.

What assertion DID you make? 😄

That the compensation and working conditions for certain jobs are such that they depend on using ‘undocumented’ immigrant labor. It’s often expressed as “jobs (most?) US citizens (or legal immigrants) won’t do”.

Unions could help remedy this.

Could you provide a link to it, for so far, it's just hot air.

Why didn't Trump solve it?

Unions could help remedy this.

Having adequate federal interior immigration law enforcement would git-r-done. Expecting unions to act as our immigration law enforcement mechanism is foolish.

IMHO, that could be accomplished with an eVerify mandate, coupled with changes to the federal income tax code, allowing the IRS to act as the primary enforcement mechanism. Once it became financially impractical for US employers (job creators) to have ‘undocumented’ (W-2 or 1099) employees, the lack of an employment ‘magnet’ would cause many (if not most) ‘undocumented’ immigrants to self-deport.

For how many decades have people been saying this? Trump had 4 years to do it.

But sure, any day now it's all going to come together.

Trump is too fixated on border security (alone), thus ignores those who have overstayed their ‘temporary’ visas.

Only congress can impose a eVerify mandate and make the changes (which I have suggested) to our federal income tax laws. Currently, the direct labor costs of each W-2 and 1099 employee are (100%) tax deductible business expenses, but if that were changed to allow the deduction for only those W-2 or 1099 employees who passed an (IRS imposed, annual) eVerify check then it would no longer be profitable for employers to use ‘undocumented’ immigrant labor.

Well get on it! 😄

You need look no further than the link in the OP to see its effect.

He's not been in office the last four years.

He was in office for 4 years and the problem remains.

Why the double standard?

I'm just impressed that all these undocumented immigrants were considerate enough to share their criminal records to create this data set.

The problem has been far worse under the Democrats.

Or is it simply exploited more?

Perhaps, rather than count on an authoritarian to deal with the problem, one should encourage legislation to deal with it. After all, statistics suggest, Trump (who admittedly couldn't solve it before, but has a mystical hold over his supporters) won't live forever.

I have zero sympathy for New Yorkers. They voted for the libs and their sanctuary cities, so they reap what they sow.
Except these illegal criminals have migrated to other U.S. cities like the one that killed Laken Riley. Those stupid New Yorkers are responsible for their carelessness.
