Now It’s Panama’s Turn In the Barrel

When you can tell me something I don't already know.......never mind.

I lived and worked in the CCP-PRC for ten years and I know a few things about the Chinese and about the world too.

I'm very familiar with the CCP and its grandiose designs over and across the globe. Indeed and over several thousands of years the Chinese are nothing if not grandiose. Yet all they have to show for it is where they are still. Japan and the Japanese are much more like us btw.

So your first task at this point is to find someone who knows less than you do. You'd find a lot of 'em in China I don't mind saying. Because all the Chinese know is the Party line. They just blurb the Party line at you and that's that -- there's no further argument or discussion as far as they are concerned. This is because the Chinese are not taught argument, dissent, critical thinking. So each time a Chinaman walked up to me to spout the Party line I gave a critical retort which left the Chinaman standing there mute. They just blink. Then they fade away each one of 'em because they don't have the slightest notion of an argument, a colloquy or discourse or discussion. Rinse and Repeat is what I did. It comes in handy here too sometimes.
Absolute bullshit.
Japanese people are nothing like us.
You know nothing about them.

Do you imagine, even for a moment, that if we wanted to move assets through the canal that we'd take no for an answer?

No, but trying to get inside the mind of MAGA Jesus (or whoever's doing the thinking here), this is a subtle - okay, not so subtle - reminder of who really owns the Canal, whatever China's investments may be.

President James Polk would've been very worried about you had you lived on the East Coast in 1846 when Polk tried to provoke Mexico into a war with the U.S. YOu would probably protest against the Mexican War.

If I lived at the time but holding to the same principles that guide me now? Yes, I would have. That and Abolitionism, certainly.

If there had been no war in 1847 or if the Mexicans had won that war, you would now be speaking Spanish and ruled by the Mexican government. That war was one of the greatest land grabs in the history of warfare. Aren't you ashamed you live on conquered land?

No, because I took no part in it. I also do not think that children who were born of rape should be ashamed of how they came to be conceived and feel guilty of their continuing existence. That does not mean I think rape should be decriminalized.

But what is the guiding principle you are trying to illustrate with this line of questioning, jaypatriot? That we did naked imperialistic land grabs and engaged in bloody militaristic colonial ventures in the past, so any we do in the future are acceptable? Please tell me, because I do not want to be accused of deliberately misinterpreting you.

Thank you for your opinion.

But I survived anyway.

Happy Holidayze !

It's speculated the new pro American President of Panama (the former tailor) Raul Whatshisname might return the canal to the USA. And pay us a buck to take it. That's so Trump can toss the buck into his slush fund.

I think Trump may know something you didn't know when he started blustering about "demanding" the canal back. I think it might be a way for Trump and the Panama Pres. Jose Raul Mulino to say Merry Christmas to America.

Right after the holidayze I'll start planning an "It's Our Canal Again!" party. Not just anyone will be invited of course.

I was unaware that you are incapable of reading and comprehending English.
I won’t make that mistake again.

President Musk will talk to him later about that.
The President Musk and Mr Trump thing is absolutely hilarious.
It’s these things that will help us to find humor in the next 4 years.
Trumps blatant stupidity will be the driving factor.

Today, I feel like the novel we're living in is "The Long Walk." Dystopian? Check. The Major? Check. Pissing and moaning about the Panama Canal? Check. Go-go, Garraty. Maine's Own.

I learned a long time ago about the illogical nature of a negative attitude. Being sad and depressed, only hurts yourself. If you view life as a half joke, you will find great wonders in your existence.

You're fine where you are living on conquered land. I do too.
And we'll keep giving casino licenses to Indian tribes in order to make us feel better about appropriating Indian lands all over the continent.

So if we do take back Panama for national security reasons then you should be OK with that.

Sure. Again, in the same way that I am okay with children of rape existing without being made to feel ashamed of being the product of rape. They have no responsibility for what happened in the distant past. Neither do I. Neither do you.

And we'll keep giving casino licenses to Indian tribes in order to make us feel better about appropriating Indian lands all over the continent.

We do not give casino licenses to Indian tribes as a sop. They have sovereignty over the lands they were given.

So if we do take back Panama for national security reasons then you should be OK with that.

By what principle? Again, why should I be okay with my nation today nakedly engaging in imperial conquest for so-called "national security" purposes as though we are Putin's Russia just because our nation did such things 150 years ago? I mean, what, should we bring back slave plantations too? Shall we turn Haiti back into a massive sugar plantation while we are at it, perhaps?

Because bad past acts justify new bad acts?

Elon Musk is literally the Andrew Carnegie of our time.

Elon Musk is literally the Andrew Carnegie of our time.

Except he would charge a subscription service fee for everyone who wanted to use the public Libraries. And he certainly would not turn over their control to local governments.

That would be a difficult thing to do not knowing what you know or don't know.

The USD accounts for the predominant currency of nations' forex reserves and remains decidedly dominant as the currency of trade. US T-bills dominate the global bond markets.

Banks in the USA dominate global finance. US economic and financial sanctions are what causes investors to flee the targeted governments.

In China the NBA is more popular than dumplings and it's bigger than Confucius and Sun Tzu combined -- and then some. China is a threat to the Panama Canal which directly affects the US, the hemisphere, the West and the global economy, international trade and finance; it affects war and peace.

So and as I said, get back to me when you can tell me something I don't know already because I've already figured out your grandiose posts. Indeed, after my 10 years in China I know the smell of a CCP from a mile away.
If your take away is I'm pro or against China, then you might know less than you claim to.

National security my ass.

Indeed, the Generalissimo Trump believes the military has one use and one use only which is to lock away his political opponents as he sees his opponents in the society to be such. Line 'em up with 9 rifles in their face. Indeed the Generalissimo still wants one of his MAGA lunatics to do a Luigi against Gen. Milley who is retired.

Putin, Xi, Kim and the ayatollahs know that if they attacked the United States or its major assets in any way, Trump would shit his pants and pass out in a cold dead faint. Trump has no idea or clue of how to lead the nation in a war of its defense against a peer or near peer enemy. Trump has no clue of how to lead the armed forces in a war to defend the United States and its people. The consequence is that United States has never been as vulnerable as it is currently. Congress knows this too.

The military too knows Trump is feeble and lost as commander in chief and, moreover, that Trump is as insane as any dictator of the 20th century was insane. Caligula comes to mind too about Trump who appointed his horse's ass as the new vice president.

Trump is a Generalissimo against his own people, he is not and never could be commander in chief of the armed forces. The military recognized this in Trump before anyone else did or could do -- it was at the Pentagon when the then SecState Rex Tillerson said Trump is a "****ing moron." Indeed, the military knows what to do with their Generalissimo against his own people who is incapable of being commander in chief in a major war.
