Its been suggested before, but from our experience, its more fun this way. We keep it in the forum and it gets pretty lively as the weeks go on.

I understand, but its better if we keep it simple with just a pick of a win. Its easier for me since I tabulate it all by hand!

I agree - those sites are great for tabulations and control, but they're kind of sterile in comparison to the give and take we have here in the thread.

I also agree that the other suggestion would get way too complicated both for those picking and yourself tabulating.

Don't fix what isn't broken.

i am in a few other contests

this one is by far my favorite....

and no prize or money is even awarded

just picking winners/losers week by week

what could be easier, right? lol

:lamo

but that is what makes it fun....

and to all my competitors....good luck, but i hope i see you in second place at the end

:2wave:

Wow -- I just picked 8 visiting teams to win .. this does not forebode well.

And, I know, I know, the Cowboys have no pass rush and Eli is likely to have a field day plus Dak Prescott, though a good-looking rookie, will have to face a much-improved Giants defensive line even though he has the best offensive line in football and Elliot looks like a possible rookie of the year winner .. .. but I can't help myself.

games start tonight folks

get your picks in now

dont want to start in the hole because you missed an early game

Cowboys have the element of surprise, though. No one knows quite what this team will look like with Prescott or Elliott; I'd expect it's been a bit tough for the Giants to prepare.

I'll throw my hat in the ring, if you don't mind.

you. Based on the last two games, everybody wins at least one week so don't feel badly if you're behind during the first few weeks, its a long season, so there's plenty of time to catch up.

OK, here we go! Welcome, returning and new players!

How to play: Simple, just pick a winning team for each game. You get a point for getting it right. If you predict a tie for that game you get a point if it does tie. The person with the most points at the end of the season is the winner. Then we have another post-season game to pick with and a winner will be announced for that too.

Deadline: You must get your picks in before the start of the game. If you miss a week or say a Thursday pick, don't worry, you can make it up.

Remember: Just because you pick badly in one week, doesn't mean you should give up! Our previous winners (like DA60) started out at near the bottom in the first few weeks, but worked their way up and eventually won it all. Just keep picking and things will eventually turn good for you. Based on the last two games, everybody wins at least one week so don't feel badly if you're behind during the first few weeks, its a long season, so there's plenty of time to catch up.

This year I will be taking suggestions for sacrifices to the dartboard gods. The gods like creativity, the more the merrier. To start I will be sacrificing this pony.

Are you planning on trying to do your weekly analysis again this year or is it too time consuming? - understand and appreciate it, regardless of your choice.

Going to try! Though like the end of last year it may be a bit sporatic.

Likely won't be able to do it the first two weeks though, as I'm going out of town tomorrow and not getting back till next Saturday. But after that, I'm hoping to start it up again.

I jump out to an early lead!!!!

I was going to pick Denver only because...home team. But my better judgement thwarted that decision. And...

We saw how that ended up.

Well, we can console ourselves in the lost point that we came within a hooked field goal attempt that had to travel 50 yards ..

.. Okay, so there's no consoling.

Yay. 0-1. Yay.

LOL this was just the first game and the rest of Week 1 isnt even over yet and you guys are panicking already? LMAO. FYI, the previous winners of this game started slow. It's a long season so dont think of it as a sprint, but a marathon- steady and consistency wins the race. ;)

I LOVED being wrong last night!!!!

Not sure if commenting on the games is appropriate and please remove if not but cam was beaten to a pulp. I did see the whole game but in the 4th quarter he looked concussed braking the huddle. Then I saw the hits he was taking earlier in the game. They were viscous and helmet to helmet. Is there no targeting rule in the NFL? Shame on the Carolina staff not to pull him.
