Pretty much the one team I figure will get there is the one team whose matchups I'm interested in the least.

Baltimore vs Atlanta....you have the Flacco vs Ryan battle after they were both drafted the same year and have had heart breaking playoff defeats

Baltimore vs San Francisco....you have the Har-Bowl, with the brothers squaring off on the biggest stage

I guess if I had to retrofit something "interesting"....

New England vs Atlanta....potential "passing the torch" game between the Brady and Ryan, with it either passing or being held off.

New England vs Niners....rematch? Meh

You'd also have Tony G, and Lewis playing in probably both of their last games.

Gonzales has been an all-time great player throughout his career, but he just doesn't inspire the feeling of "I must watch this man's last game ever" like Lewis does.

Ah yes, two greats who deserve a chance to go to the dance.

Unfortunately, YourStar, I'll be pulling for the Niners in the NFC Championship. I'd join you if anybody else were there, 'cause I do like Ryan and the Falcons, but I gotta stand by my second family.

True, but at the same time I actually have a stronger desire to see Gonzales get a ring than Lewis since Lewis has one. I want to watch Lewis's last game more, I want to watch Gonzales get a ring more.

Also, a bit of trivia in the RG3/Wilson/Luck thread that I figure you may actually be able to answer.

I root against all dome teams. You suck.

Good point. I might even root for atlanta in such a matchup because of it.

I'll check it out.

First off, it's the NFC Championship, and secondly I hope you are disappointed, hopefully Kapernick(probably not the right spelling) will have a bad game, and we will see the Falcons in the Superdome for a 2 time this year, and then hopefully with a better result!

Ack! Thanks for the catch.

Well, after the amazing game Kaepernick had, I hope he doesn't let it get to his head. I recall Harbaugh referring to going forward humbly, evidently to make sure his players keep their head in the right place. Playoffs is a bad time to have a letdown. It's going to be a helluva game. I'm looking forward to it.

Not to mention that the 49ers are still pissed about last year's debacle.

Let's hope the Niners protect the ball a little better this time around. I think we have a more potent offense this time, so hopefully that will work in our favor.

Gronk most likely rebroke his arm and will be out of the rest of the playoffs.

Please, let it go to their head

It's going to be a good game, and I am really glad we have are at home, the Dome will be rocking, and hopefully our running game will be just as good as last game, if not better.

The only Falcons game I've been too was against the Niners, it was in 2010, and we ended up winning on a classic Matty Ice drive down the field, and a field goal right at the end. I remember, Ryan threw a pick on that drive, but Roddy forced a fumble, and got the ball back, and they had to drive down the length of the field twice. Great game,

It's annoying that people think sitting out in the freezing cold is a good experience.

What? Are you trying to say this isn't fun?

Methinks you didn't grow up in the mid-west where football is played properly, and hot chocolate is precious.
