New Zealand links 26yr olds covid death to vaccine.

I have REDUCED the chances of me spreading covid. There is virtually nothing that reduces the risk to zero.
It’s not about eliminating the risk. It’s about doing what you reasonably can to REDUCE the risk.
And it’s a fact that vaccination reduces the risk of transmission significantly.

Just because you can use the word reduce doesn't let you off the hook

But it’s known that vaccination reduces the risk of getting infected and if you aren’t infected you can’t spread it.
I can agree with that. At the same time, I don't want to give a 78 year old immunocompromised person the false impression that they can hug it up at a large family gathering because "everyone is fully vaccinated".

I am not “on a hook”.
If you aren’t infected you can’t transmit covid.
Vaccines reduce the risk of getting infected =you have less chance of transmitting it.

Do you agree that getting vaccinated reduces your chances of getting infected at all?
It can, but it depends greatly on the variant.

I didn’t imply or state that.

Logically if you aren’t infected you can’t spread covid. Therefore the more people who are vaccinated the less the transmission. That’s the goal: risk reduction, not risk elimination.

If you can only reduce the risk then you are on the hook just like everyone else

We can quibble over the percentage of risk reduction but whatever the number is it’s not zero. The greater the number of vaccinated people the less the transmission.

American eugenics came to a screeching halt when they saw what it did to Germany.
Nope. The aristocracy was rearranging their stock portfolios while they were telling americans it was nothing. Once the demographics were better understood as to who would suffer, there were plenty of congresswhores and senators arguing that those people should be sacrificed for the economic system.

Yep but I don't let the government shove a needle in my arm that doesn't work.
The “government “ isn’t vaccinating anyone. People like me gladly shove needles into peoples arms.
Fine
Don’t get vaccinated
Just stay the hell away from normal responsible people so we can handle this rationally

And stay away from me because you can still spread the virus.

I have done the responsible thing and greatly reduced my risk to others. Now it’s your turn to keep up your end of your social responsibility. Vaccination reduces risk.
Get your vaccine or keep away from responsible people.

Fair enough. Everyone who has been infected is different. With a mild case you might not be protected at all from further infections; with a severe case it might be 10 months or so. I think that people should assume that after six months or so they are becoming increasingly susceptible to reinfection.
It seems to depend a lot on your personal immune system, age, and other factors. Older people and those who are immunocompromised will likely have less protection from either a Covid infection or vaccine because their body just doesn't take as well to "remembering" the virus, and then building defenses to fight them.

I already told you that you are just as likely to spread the virus as anyone else. vaccinated people are getting covid Get that through your thick head. See ya later gramps

And you are wrong as many times as you can spew your misinformation.
It is a fact that vaccinated people are less likely to spread the virus than unvaccinated people. They are even less likely to spread the virus after they get infected, partly because vaccinated people clear the virus more quickly.
Your posts reveal that your mind is closed to the truth, to the science.
You have swallowed the kool aide hook line and sinker.
When people live in a fantasy world where up is down and down is up there are insufficient intersecting point on which to base a rational discussion.
By all means-don’t get vaccinated. Delta or omicron will find you and no one will care what happens.

Sincerely

“Gramps”

Except you are wrong. A vaccinated person is less likely to get Covid. They are also less likely to get severe Covid, which means that on average they are going to get over Covid faster, fight off the virus faster. That means that they are most likely, on average, spreading Covid, infectious for less time than someone who was not vaccinated.

less likely, on average, most likely, Sounds real scientific.

They try to summarize the studies for you, but you reject it, why?

Face mask use by the primary case and family contacts before the primary case developed symptoms was 79% effective in reducing transmission

So where is your scientific medical paper link that shows what you have been saying is true regarding vaccinated vs unvaccinated?
There are not enough intersecting points with people who attended Hogwarts School to have a rational discussion. They will get infected. Many of them will get quite sick. Others will be culled after receiving their Darwin Award.
I will be in the audience cheering as they accept the award.
