That is not what caught up to McDaniel at NBC. The fact that she is name checked in the Trump DC Indictment for participation in that tom foolery is what got her. NBC Execs forgot it or possibly did not even realize it. Their News staffs reminded them.

Then they should not have said she was hired. Employees are hired. Independent Contractors perform under terms of a contract, more often than not a personal services contract. in any event I don't think the NBC Execs care if they have to pay her the full extent of her contract. See below.
