Klay: 'Kills me every day' to miss another year

Starting at the 6:00 minute mark in the video below, we see a point in Jordan's career when he almost ended up like Klay and Gordon Haywood. This was during his number "45" season, the comeback tour, when Ewing levels him during a drive to the hole.



Seeing that, and realizing he walked away unscathed has to be proof that the dude really was super-freaking-man.

An MRI has revealed Celtics guard Marcus Smart has a Grade 1 left calf strain, the team announced. A source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski there is optimism that he could return in one to two weeks.

At this point in his career, Russell Westbrook is one of the WORST players in the NBA. His game was based on athleticism and motor, and that looks like it has disappeared.

If he doesn't score and attack, he's basically a liability.

Clippers quietly become the best team in the league. I didn't see that coming. I'm sure the Lakers will have something to say about that before too long. OTOH, I suspect Utah falls back down to earth. I suspect Denver is better, and not only because they won yesterday.

Nets may just have too many ball hogs for a game with only one ball. Besides, who on that team plays defense? 149-146 loss to last place Washington---really?

With Milwaukee stomping on Portland last night and Houston jumping all over OKC, it looks like things are getting back to normal in the NBA. The East is definitely shaping up as expected: the top five are Philly, Bucks, Nets, Celts and Pacers. I would say all five were expected to be there.

West? Denver started slow, Utah jumped to a surprise lead with a long streak, but the two LA teams are likely the kings in that conference (currently at 1 & 3). Surprise is Memphis, who demolished the Spurs last night to move up to the five spot with Dallas nowhere to be seen.

My wife used to watch the Real Housewives of Atlanta. There was a fake-blonde bimbo on the show who was just like this nutjob. It might be a thing in the ATL.

BTW, the Twitter seems to have ID'd Karen as a former stripper/porn star type. I'm shocked.
