Probably not the battle you want to fight when masks are being used to conceal identities of criminals.

Unless, of course, you support the criminals (which probably wouldn't surprise me at this point)

I'll fight that battle to avoid catching COVID. I don't give a **** if you think it's about supporting criminals. I really don't even care what you think. My right to not get COVID trumps whatever you think.

There's no valid reason for this law because the vast majority of people wearing face masks are doing so for health reasons. You would have to prove otherwise. Since you'd have to prove they were committing a crime unless you are planning on thought policing it. Proving this would simply show its for no other reason than to add penalties, not stop crimes.

Valid reason is arrest rates are down due to not being able to identify. There are news reports almost daily about smash and grabs and property theft crimes where they are wearing masks. How can you say 'no valid reason'?? Unless you live in a bubble, it's happening.

I'm not talking about medical masks, so that's not the argument.

They are already committing a crime. You have to still prove that they are wearing the mask to commit a crime. Most people wearing masks are doing so for completely non crime related reasons.
