The OP seems to have a different idea (from most) about what the country/western music genre includes.







 
It's easy for me: "none". ;)
That was my first reaction. One of my favorite bands is Led Zeppelin, and the first song listed was theirs - but nope. How about "A boy named Sue"? Eh... One comes to mind that might be ok', Nancy Sinatra's cover of 'These boots were made for walkin', but it's not that good a song. Even when people I like do country - nope. Neil Young, and so on. Especially not 'rock-country' hybrid bands, nope.

Okay, I need to update that. I fell in love with the Dixie Chicks (now Chicks) since Taking the Long Way (love that album), and I have to admit, Stevie Nicks is really more country (vocally). It's the "Western" part I don't like. Dolly Parton does write some kick-ass songs, too.
