deplorable

beyond words... this guy needs to be throw out of baseball for life

Turner is the team captain of the Dodgers and they could not celebrate the victory properly without him. His teammates spoke favorably of his reckless action, saying that Turner fully deserved to join the celebration. Despite the illness, he hit two homers in the World Series, contributing greatly to the team's success.

Herd immunity is the only way to end this pandemic, so he might as well get started.

And does that excuse his behavior?

His behavior was reckless and shameful.

People will DIE if they listen to advise like this.
Some people. The virus has a very low mortality rate. Lockdowns will not stop it, it has to burn itself out.

Maybe he should have been banging a trash can. Then MLB would look the other way.

He was sitting right next to manager Dave Roberts, both without a mask.

Being a cancer survivor ( Hodgkin's lymphoma), Roberts is considered an "at risk" individual.

Turner will probably be suspended by MLB and the Dodgers fined.

Fine him heavily.. And the MLB should up front say they will give the fine money to a charity, or front line workers... That will shut the Union and Turner up..

lockdowns were so badly screwed up they were a waste of time.

it is immoral to simply say as you do, just let the old die

Strip them of this fake ws title and award the Rays the title.

This micky mouse of a season doesn't even deserve a winner.

The Dodgers championship lacks legitimacy.q

Then put the old into lockdown so theyre protected.

How many pandemics were ended with lockdowns?

At this point the only probable solution is a vaccine. And like the influenza that can genetically change from year to year will require further vaccinations.

A lockdown will not end a pandemic unless it has only infected less than 1% of the population. That train has left the station.

Herd immunity does not work for influenza and highly doubtful it will for COVID-19. At this point there is no evidence of lasting protective immunity to Covid following natural infection.

Am not a fan of a complete lockdown but in areas of surging explosion of cases it would make sense. On that same note we can't forget the stress of this lockdown on people.

We still don't know the percentage of people who were asymptomatic with COVID will have long term cardiac/respiratory problems in their future.

Historically, vaccines havent been all that effective. The only virus that has been eradicated was smallpox, but it took hundreds of years to do it.

Historically, vaccines have been key to herd immunity. Measles is one example, smallpox is another.
