Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET[W:134, 926]

re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET[W:134]

So, to continue the military angle in the context of the VP pick: in 2010 military spending comprised 4.75% of GDP, and about 20% of total government spending. Ryan wants to cut TOTAL government spending to 3.75% of GDP. That suggests that he would cut military spending by about 85%. What what?

your math is wrong, but you knew that. you are just a left wing parrot

re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET[W:134]

How about addressing Ryan's call for drastic military spending cuts?

Shhhhhhhh....

We're not allowed to vet things like Bain, tax returns, and what Ryan actually wrote in his plan. Positive talking points only please--Sean Hannity is in charge of distribution.

How about addressing Ryan's call for drastic military spending cuts?

We have a 16 trillion dollar national debt, up 5.4 trillion since Obama took office, we are out of Iraq so there is some of the reductions and what Ryan does is force the military to cut waste, fraud, and abuse which is rampant throughout the govt.

I find it interesting and dishonest that liberals still promote tax cuts being an expense and taking money out of the hands of the poor. Ryan knows that people keeping more of their money need less govt. and neighbor will truly help neighbor. During the Reagan years when people kept more of what they earned charitable giving set records and govt. revenue grew. When Bush cut rates govt. revenue grew and charitable giving rose. Cutting rates and eliminating deductions means more income for all taxpayers and that scares the hell out of liberals. Let the battle begin, Ryan understands the reality that liberals want to ignore

re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET[W:134]

Ryan has much much more experience than obozo had when you fools elected him president. Tell us, hazel. exactly what were obama's qualifications to be president?

Ryan has never had a private sector job in his life, other than possibly waiter and personal trainer. He has zero executive experience. He's been a politician his whole adult life. He was voted "biggest brown nose" in highschool. :lamo

re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET[W:134]

Jesus Christ... The country isnt stuck back in the 1700's bud. Its the 21st century.
Also notice how we have something called representatives. You know the House? They represent each community in each state.

Name for me a socialist country that has been successful in creating strong economic growth and having low unemployment?

If private sector job experience is necessary then you will be voting for Romney, good choice.

We are borrowing 40 cents of every dollar spent by the government. Yes, ALL government spending needs to be cut, its impossible to increase taxes enough to cover the shortfall. What is obama's plan??????? more spending, more debt, more deficits. Is there a balanced budget in obama's non-plan? No.

Way to move the goalpost there bud! Keep it up!
What does socialism have anything to do what we are talking about?

I am not sure why this site allows you to continue to bait/ flame with your silly remarks. You turn this site into a joke. Using your assumptions, that Ryan would cut everything the same, defense would be cut by 3.75/4.75 or something around 20%. In dollar amounts perhaps 100-150 billion. We could and should do that today by cutting our troops in Afghanistan to pre_Obama levels of about 20K if not lower. That would be 75 billion at least.

You think 85% of the military's budget consists of the fabled "waste, fraud, and abuse"? :lamo

If Democrats proposed military cuts like Ryan has proposed conservatives like you would lose control of your bowels.

What Obamabots ignore is that our economy is growing and having a budget cut as a percent of GDP will mean more spending in a growing economy not less. The key to the Ryan budget is economic growth not stagnation and massive govt. as Obama wants

Give me three items from Ryan's proposed budget plan that you don't like and three items from Obama's budget plan that should counter Ryan's budget plan.

What was Obama's private sector experience? Hmmmmmmmmmm? Zero, nada, zilch. red herring, adam

Let the battle begin, let's put all the budget on the table and then compare that to what Obama has proposed. Let's make sure that we truly understand what Ryan is proposing and what Obama wants. When the choice is out there with specifics I am convinced that they will choose Ryan

You list yourself as a socialist and that makes you coming at the issue from a far left position so defend it or move on

re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET[W:134]

What was Obama's private sector experience?

Because private sector experience is the be-all-tell-all of how good a presidential candidate maybe.

There is no point in discussing the specifics of Ryan's budget because the whole thing is a fraud. The numbers are so far from adding up it's ridiculous.

Uhhh no it doesnt. This is about ****ing Paul Ryan, not about socialism or my "socialistic critique" of a country. This is about Paul Ryan bud. So either stay on subject or keep on moving the ****ing goal posts which you are soo very well at.
We literally went from the current time period of this country, to representatives in this country, then you came along to "Tell me one socialist country that worked". Great job. See the movement of the goal posts?

adam brought it up, not me. Romney/Ryan has much more private sector experience than obama/biden. obama/biden = zero private sector.

Please post the details of obama's budget plan, then we can compare.

Oh, obama has no plan???????????

You kind of just blew past my point..I was attempting to point out that in my opinion that working in the private sector has no bearings on being POTUS

Re: Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

I just woke up this morning to the best news of the political season. If Romney had ANY chance at the Presidency, he just handed it to Obama and the rest of us!...there is no chance in hell that Romney carries Florida and Ryan and Romney cannot win without Florida. I thought Palin was a great choice for the Democrats, but Ryan takes it one better. Thank you Willard!

florida has a lot of seniors, they are not stupid, they know that obama cut 550 billion out of medicare, they know that obamacare will increase their healthcare costs and reduce the quality. they also care about their kids and grandkids and do not want them saddled with huge debt.

Florida will be red in November. book it.
