Minnesota suspected assassin Vance Boelter captured alive after intense manhunt for fatal shooting of Dem pol, spouse: report

Cops couldn't tell the difference between themselves and some right winger on a murderous rampage of Democrats?

We are cooked, boys and girls.

🥵

According to the presser he was out on the street inside his fake police car that had police tags on it when the officer saw him. The officer thought he was another officer that had been dispatched to the scene.

Any word yet on whether some MAGAtard has started a GoFundMe page for this fine pro-life conservative christian's legal defense?

I'm not following you, man. I don't know what you are talking about, honestly.

Your link didn't work for me, so I don't know what tripe you say I'm supporting. Honestly, I'm not sure why I'm interacting with you at all. We all do dumb things sometimes, I guess.

Your gaslighting efforts are always so dumb, and you should be embarrassed that you accused me of having a sock without any evidence.

No amount of yapping and flailing will change the ideological stances we already know about the MAGA killer in Minnesota.

😃

Why do you say that?

Well, I mean the prosecution setting bail is a Yikes, while the assassin's supposed hit list not containing the name of one of his targets but did contain the name of someone who die 6 months ago is a "What!?"

The guy who had a nice home, a wife a several kids living in a run down doublewide with a roommate is a "What?!"

And so on.

The website that takes in funding for white murderers, neonazis and Christian nationalists is GiveSendGo.

GoFundMe usually shuts down their stuff down pretty quickly. Much to the chagrin of some.

😄

Reading the posts here on this thread have been eye opening. I'm thankful that this site does not really represent the population at large but more the minority that I like to think of as rabidly informed.

Where did you here that? The FBI certainly didn't mention it

He was unemployed and separated from his wife who is cooperating with authorities.

Boelter was very Pro-Trump. Everyone who knew him says so.
Friends think he began losing it after business ideas went sour.
He began looking for excuses for his screwups and naturally the political rhetoric fueled his blame and he began to scapegoat the people Donald Trump liked to talk about.
Then came the police impersonator fantasies. He dressed as a cop, citing Trump’s talking points about “liberating” cities from liberal rule.
Stochastic terrorism: deny everything, blame the enemies list, light a match, walk away and demand the cult deify you further.

I wager the average person cannot always tell the difference between these fake cop cars and the real thing at first glance, can you?
Same goes for the "tactical gear" and accesories worn by the impersonator.
On a dark night on the side of the road the blue and red lights go off and next thing you know you hear the familiar cop
commands.
And thanks to decades of lax approach to fake cops BY COPS and BY COURTS, ninety-five percent of the time
a fake cop can get away with a lot and even if they're caught, they know it's a minor offense.

Yah, the right wing really has encouraged the cop / military cosplay industry and we are now at a point where they (cops) can't tell the difference between themselves and murderous cosplayers.

It will obviously not be the most important charge on his list of charges, but impersonating police should definitely be on the list. It was a weapon that he used in his crime, kind of a psychological weapon.

Like anybody needed a reminder that the left thinks Donald is Hitler and is to blame for everything bad ever.
Well, stupid Hitler. And why would we be mad at him for stuff he couldn’t have had anything to do with? It’s hard enough dealing with the stupid stuff he does

A news agency just released what they said was the hit list.

He was unemployed and separated from his wife who is cooperating with authorities.

I'm aware, I'm pointing out that his bio isn't usual for someone who turns to assassination.

Also, it made sense that he would have a security vehicle and body armor when it came out that he was on the leadership board of Praetorian Guard Security services, it makes less sense that he would have access to all of that when he was separated and destitute.

The last time Yours Truly was tailed by a fake cop on U.S. 287 in Mansfield Texas.
When he saw me filming him with my pocket video he suddenly took off but he'd been on my rear bumper for over two miles at that point.

Getting caught being a fake cop should almost always be a felony even for most first timers.
If not, then trade mandatory mental health treatments.
Second time, felony and minimum five years in prison, third time, 20 to life.

You don't get to abuse the public trust of legitimate authorities, plus despite the cops and their own lackadaisical attitude toward the issue, it is a danger
to them and their families. My guess is, they don't like to admit it and don't want the public to think they are concerned too much, macho posturing.

The whole cop impersonator business is a sign and symptom of deep mental illness for most people who engage in it.

Around here it's not entirely unheard of for "rip crews" to use the police impersonation tactic. Sadly, if you're the target of someone that wants to do you harm then it's pretty hard to prevent an engagement.

There's a lot of incendiary rhetoric going on with all sides right now.

No, I don't like the nonsense I hear on the right, but I don't like people beating up cops, burning cars, and flying Mexican flags, either,
Nonsense on the right? You mean murdering people?

Which news agency? The FBI just said at their news conference that they would not be releasing the list at this time.

I'm afraid I am not aware of what an assassins bio looks like. Assassination is simply a term applied to the murder of a prominent person or politician for political reasons. It's not like he was a paid assassin or something. I think he just had it in for these people who he saw as thwarting his conservative agenda.

And Trump attacks democrats tonight in another unhinged social media post.

If Dems had any brains and spine they’d be yelling about his responsibility for this assassination and the assassination attempt.

This is what being a vile subhuman fascist looks like.

He’s responsible for their deaths and the attacks at protests yesterday and he’ll be repulsive for the future ones coming from his psychotic supporters.

Reading this over the top, evidence-free rhetoric, I find it hard to believe how anyone can take him seriously.

I did part time freelance news video stuff for a few years, (80's and 90's) just typical crash and burn stuff and structure fires, but gradually I picked up some "tastier" (better paying) stuff as time went on. That's when fake cops became a pet peeve of mine. I had two or three encounters with individuals like that.
The proverbial last straw was the night I followed a command by one and inadvertantly pissed off a real cop who also did not realize that he had "competition" issuing conflicting orders.
Naturally I had no clue at the time, and when I figured it out...well you can guess the level of "WTF"'.

These people are more than a mere nuisance and they almost always inhabit the fringe, right around the corner from celebrity stalkers and "fan club presidents" who shoot their idols.
It appears to be an entire ecosystem with "its own gravity and its own laws of physics", damn near.

I was "the nuisance" and that's exactly what I guessed I was. But it was for money.
Now anyone with a smartphone can install the Citizen app.

Totally agree. It's almost like he's some kind of caricature or cardboard cutout or something. I don't know. I can't find the word.

Because he can only pardon federal crimes, not State crimes
As usual, some are jumping the shark. No federal charges yet.

If the nutbar is eventually charged by the federal government, it would seem very improbable that any president, especially President Trump, would pardon an assassin.
