It's called a principle. Would you like me to pick an obscure person you never hard of to make the same point? Was restaurants refusing black people the 'most extreme'? You are dodging the issue.
There is a different standard for politicians, who we select for power, and commentators including musicians and comics - while I wouldn't mind a venue cancelling those for the right reason, I wouldn't push for it usually unless they were pretty extreme. Mike Pence has promoted bigotry for decades and enabled the most harmful president in history, and I'm happy for him to be shunned for it.

Yes I do hold different standards to our elected officials then musician and celebrity. That doesn't mean he can't get a book publish.
What does a restaurant obviously discriminating against blacks have to do with this? It's against the law. The law will handle that.
You want to shunned half of Congress who enabled him? What about the 4th of the country who voted for Trump? Do they deserve to be banished?
