And I can count a good dozen on this forum that just praised Avenatti a couple of months back and were so hoping he would run in 2020! :lol:

A few weeks ago he was a staple on CNN and MSNBC with an honored guest seat speaking truth to power! :lol:

Yeah. He was arrested. But, it kind of blows a huge hole in the narrative with the story being wrong and all.

HE did what he did. Kudos for him in that he was man enough to admit it. No one "set up" Al Franken....

Add to that I don't think anyone has declared him guilty yet.

He isn't Kavanaugh and I am not a Democrat so I won't do that.

The incident took place Tuesday and Avenatti was arrested today, police said.

Avenatti was booked at 3:44 p.m. local time Wednesday on a charge of domestic violence with injuries, according to booking records obtained by ABC Station KABC. His bail was set at $50,000, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The case will be "presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney for prosecution," the LAPD said in a press release.

Avenatti is due in court on the charge Dec. 5
