Miami-Dade K-8 bars elementary students from 4 library titles following parent complaint. One is the poem "The Hill We Climb."

nope, not stuck at all. There have been several complaints at school board meets about the explicit sexual content of books used in primary grades. And a lot of "parents have no business in their children's education. And even teachers telling kid "don't tell your parents".

What does that have to do with these books and poem?

Very telling that you defend books describing in detail homosexual acts that are put in the hands of children by piece of shit pedogroomers.

If the pedogroomers really had this power, I suspect they'd be using it to get kids to bring their charged devices to school, but that hasn't panned out. So I think you can relax.

And by "ban" you mean move it to a different shelf in the same library?

Good grief you folks are so easy to fool....
One illiterate and ignorant parent should NOT be able to speak for all parents.

It's clear this person needed help spelling indoctrinate.

Just pointing out that what "education experts" think is appropriate for child doesn't all coincide with parent's views and wishes.

How do you know only ONE parent feels this way? Just because you only have one form doesn't mean it's the ONLY form.

How do you know more do? They reacted based on the form of a single illiterate and ignorant person.

Some how, that doesn't seem likely. If the majority of parents disagreed do you really think they'd take action on this form?

Are you seeing any indication that’s the case? By all accounts, one illiterate parent was able to do this. Look at the form.. This is ****ed up on so many levels. Those with masters and doctorates in education should be making these decisions, not illiterate parents that don’t even know the correct name of the author. That lady should just home school her kids.

Please note that when you go after the one or two books you are referring to here, it opens the door to banning material like that described in this thread. In other words, the cure is far worse than the disease.

Only one parent filed a complaint, that is how we know.
And THAT'S all you know. You don't know the opinions of any other parents, or if any other complaints were filed.

We would know if other complaints were filed, because it is public record. None were. There is no reason for the poem or the books to be removed...and we have SUPREME COURT decisions that say this is a violation of the first amendment. I know, I know....the only one you think that matters is the 2nd....but note, the founders found the right to free speech to be so important they placed it BEFORE the 2nd.

Funny thing, this is NOT banning - the books will be available for older children. "Banning" is just a trigger word the Democrat-Media-Collusion uses to incite their pliant disciples.

When it isn't available to all children, that is the same as a ban. The books are age appropriate for children from age 5. Had it never been put there, but wasn't made intentionally not available....that would be true....but they REMOVED it from access to elementary school children for no reason at all other than it is about 'black people' oh the horrors.

Every outlet covering this is reporting that a single individual filed a complaint. Feel free to speculate otherwise, but without evidence all that you have is speculation.

Nonsense.

Says who? The author and school authorities or the parents?
Who would you thinks knows more about age appropriate reading material?

You going to take the opinion of a doctor or an ignorant parent when it comes to medical advice?
When it comes to what literature and subject matter children are exposed to, parents every time.

Funny how they will back a minority of parents for a book banning and bash a minority groups for trying to be equal.
