Witch hunt going on for two days now. Why? Because of a video on Halloween where a candidate said that in high school she dabbled in witchcraft? I don't think that's the reason. I think it's being used as a distraction so we won't be looking at Chris Coons.
Very interesting article. I hope everyone in Delaware reads it before voting. If you aren't a socialist or Marxist I doubt you'll want to vote for this guy.
Chris Coons: Volunteer for Liberation ...
Sep 20, 2010 ... Chris Coons, the freshly minted Democrat selected as Tea Party ..... in his philosophy...no wonder the LEFT is giving O'DONNELL such vicious attention. .... No, Coons will come out in typical pre-election chameleon style ...
The American Spectator : Chris Coons: Volunteer for Liberation Theology
The controversial religious philosophy espoused by radical left-wing activist James Cone and President Obama's one-time spiritual mentor the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Black Liberation Theology is an off-shoot of liberation theology, a Marxist-driven interpretation of Christianity.
And the liberal media -- alarmed at O'Donnell's success and busily running all manner off stories designed to portray her as a right-wing crazy -- has suddenly gone missing on Coons. Silent on a stunning revelation that could prove uniquely fatal to Chris Coons' Senate candidacy in the year of Tea Party rebellion against the Obama Administration's agenda of wealth redistribution.
That's the spin the media has put on it since it's been out there more. What revelation are we talking about? Chris was a Regan Republican and went to Africa and came back as a liberal. With regard to calling himself a "bearded Marxist", he says that "it was just in reference to what his Republican friends — making fun of him for his transformation into a liberal — called him."
Yes indeed. Liberation theology. The Marxism-as-Christianity umbrella philosophy beneath which is grouped the racial particulars of Cone's Black Liberation Theology.
“There are many Americans with many views of Christian faith that align with what the president believes,” Dr. Attridge says, noting that the tradition of individual responsibility to the larger community runs deep in Christian teachings. He notes, for instance, in Matthew 25, Jesus says that what one does to the smallest member of a community, one has done to Christ. In Romans 12, Paul says that we being many are one body in Christ, and the Gospel of John says that we do belong to one another, by the grace of God we have to care for one another. But most important, Attridge says, this is not really about a genuine religious dialogue. “This is political rhetoric designed to stir up anti-Obama sentiments,” he says.
The bible doesn't say we give our money to the government so that they can give it to who they want. We, as individuals are responsible for caring for others.
“This is nothing but political rhetoric,” he said after reading a transcript of Beck's Tuesday show. At best, he adds, Beck has a very narrow view of what constitutes “true” Christianity.Obama stuck that label on himself. He chose to attend a liberation theology church for 20 years. All of a sudden he doesn't agree with it? Uh huh.

Members of the Catholic Church follow liberation theology, so I don't see what the BFD is.
BTW, David Brock who is the CEO of Media Matters for America used to write for the American Spectator. He is on the good side now, but I digress.
Media Matters is the child of George Soros. Go figure out. Media Matters is a disgrace and the main far left Liberal Media.
Now I know where you are coming from.
Media Matters is the child of George Soros.
It's not an opinion that Soros funds MM, it's a fact.

Odd that he isn't listed as a funder for Media Matters:
Funded with "more than $2 million in donations from wealthy liberals." "Among Mr. Brock's donors is Leo Hindery, Jr., the former cable magnate; Susie Tompkins Buell, who is co-founder of the fashion company Esprit and is close to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, and Ms. Buell's husband Mark; and James C. Hormel, a San Francisco philanthropist whose appointment as ambassador to Luxembourg was delayed for a year and a half in the late 1990's by conservative lawmakers protesting what they called his promotion of a 'gay lifestyle.' Media Matters for America - SourceWatch
An alliance of nearly a hundred of the nation's wealthiest donors is roiling Democratic political circles, directing more than $50 million in the past nine months to liberal think tanks and advocacy groups in what organizers say is the first installment of a long-term campaign to compete more aggressively against conservatives. A year after its founding, Democracy Alliance has followed up on its pledge to become a major power in the liberal movement. It has lavished millions on groups that have been willing to submit to its extensive screening process and its demands for secrecy. These include the Center for American Progress, a think tank with an unabashed partisan edge, as well as Media Matters for America, which tracks what it sees as conservative bias in the news media. Several alliance donors are negotiating a major investment in Air America, a liberal talk-radio network.
But the large checks and demanding style wielded by Democracy Alliance organizers in recent months have caused unease among Washington's community of Democratic-linked organizations. The alliance has required organizations that receive its endorsement to sign agreements shielding the identity of donors. Public interest groups said the alliance represents a large source of undisclosed and unaccountable political influence. Democracy Alliance also has left some Washington political activists concerned about what they perceive as a distinctly liberal tilt to the group's funding decisions. Some activists said they worry that the alliance's new clout may lead to groups with a more centrist ideology becoming starved for resources.
Democracy Alliance was formed last year with major backing from billionaires such as financier George Soros and Colorado software entrepreneur Tim Gill. The inspiration, according to founders, was a belief that Democrats became the minority party in part because liberals do not have a well-funded network of policy shops, watchdog groups and training centers for activists equivalent to what has existed for years on the right.
Your link says that MM is funded in part by Democracy Alliance.
The Democracy Alliance was founded by George Soros.
Bzzzt wrong it was founded by Rob Stein, Erica Payne. But yes Soros did give them money so did several other people. And how much power Soros has over them i don't know. There are several other donors too.
Democracy Alliance was founded by former Clinton Treasury official Rob Stein, Erica Payne and various donors in 2005.
