Media Apologies for Their Horrible COVID Coverage.

Everybody knows who he is. If you pay attention, instead of just scoffing at everything that isn't published on CNN, you might learn something. Wake up.
Personally I had never heard of him but it is the publicaion that is questionable but I see you conveniently left that part out.

I am a critical thinker and need not CNN or any other network to "teach me anything". If anyone is in denial it appears to be you.

Sooooo, the coronavirus was just a democratic hoax after all?

Here in america we would all have been much better off if we hadn't listened to our medical people and instead only listened to trump about covid. We wouldn't have had a million deaths since covid is only the common cold and trump had everything under control.

When will we ever learn?
Right, because the only two options were to treat everything they claimed as the golden truth or to not listen to them whatsoever.

We call that a false dichotomy.

The only thing the media has to apologize for in its coverage is not completely squashing the covidiots and all their unsubstantiated bullshit hard enough.

But yeah, random Danish tabloid apologizes lol OK

Exactly. The "emergency use" production which was called for by "the experts" who claimed early on that they had amazingly developed vaccines with 80-90% efficacy and that "if you get the vaccine, you won't get covid," type reporting - knowing it wasn't true - etc. They were so afraid that any nuance would make people hesitate to the vax that they did not care.
Jesus ****ing Christ how can you so stupidly contradict yourself all in one paragraph. 80-90 percent efficacy means BY DEFINITION that they are not 100 PERCENT EFFICACIOUS. Meaning breakthroughs are bound to occur.

If you don't understand what 80-90 percent efficacy means it is not other people's fault that you are a moron.

Amazing. Yet...after what they have put on display for several years now...not.

Its amazing that even now...after all the lies have been exposed...after the lies about the vaccines, lies about social distancing, about shutting down the economy, shutting down schools, the damage done to the kids because of the lies, lies about the efficacy of masks, after the idiots on the left have been shown how readily they were lied to and how eager and complicit in the lies they were and still are...they still mindlessly, blindly...support the COVID rhetoric and lies.

Just ****ing amazing.

And yet...not.

The 80-90% rate was ridiculous when it was published, but the media didn't question it. That's the problem. They were NEVER that effective. They're not even as effective as the flu vax, and the publications that if you get the vaccine you won't get covid were not true.
If you don't understand what 80-90 percent efficacy means it is not other people's fault that you are a moron.
The vaccines were never 80-90% efficacious, which would have been literally miraculous, if it could have been true. But accuracy wasn't the goal then. The narrative at the time was the goal.

What makes you think I don't know what the efficacy rate means? I'm not arguing about efficacy rates here. I'm arguing about the media reporting bullshit, and then people who wanted to discuss the matter intelligently at the time were attacked, banned from social media and called "conspiracy theorists."

Like when the media just swallowed whole the idea that it had to be a wet market virus, and no way could it have been in a lab, and no way was the US funding gain of function research on coronaviruses in Wuhan where the virus broke out.... that was racist conspiracy theory at the time, and the reality was, the media was peddling bullshit.

Personally I had never heard of him but it is the publicaion that is questionable but I see you conveniently left that part out.
All publications are questionable. You can't sit there and bleat on about "questionable" publications and then get your news from CNN.
I am a critical thinker and need not CNN or any other network to "teach me anything". If anyone is in denial it appears to be you.
Nope. It's you who are in denial, and you apparently can't read, since OF COURSE the publication is "questionable." That's why they had to apologize. The least questionable thing they did was to apologize for their shitty ****ing reporting. How can anyone with two brain cells to rub together think I was arguing the publication - which admits getting it wrong on Covid - wasn't "questionable?" FFS...

When did one Danish tabloid become "the media?"

They are part of the media, acknowledging the shit job the media did. CNN and the New York Times did the same thing.
Debate Politics is "part of the media." As to CNN and NYT, show your work or don't bother using your comment as evidence of anything.

Maybe this will help?

If you can't question it, it's not science.
Who said you couldn't question the science? Place your studies against theirs, and ask away.

Sure, and many of you were peddling known falsities throughout the pandemic, too. Many still do, preferring to pretend that a falsity is the truth.

CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen recently admitted in a column, that the medical community is "overcounting" the amount of COVID deaths. That overcounting is not a part of a new way of counting. We've always been overcounting. But if you read CNN from 2020 and 2021, you'll find them saying we were UNDERCOUNTING covid deaths and that the number was really 3 times higher than estimated. Anyone who thought we were overcounting Covid deaths was guilty of believing "misinformation," the factcheckers would say.

So, accounting CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen - now - it's ok to say we're overcounting. However, before, that was misinformation and when about 1/3 of Americans believed we were overcounting in 2021, that was deadly misinformation.

That's the kind of think the media got wrong.

I hadn't seen this apology before, even though it's from last year. Great job, at least in retrospect, for this newspaper to recognize its failure. Would 'twere the American media followed suit.
One Danish Tabloid does not the MEDIA make. But good on them if they realized some failings and have now apologized, the key now is "go, and sin no more."

Wonder why this news took a year to make it to the pages of DP?

Who said? Robert Malone, an MD and expert on virology, immunology, and who literally worked on developing MrNA vaccines, was banned from Twitter for discussing it openly. https://honolulu.granicus.com/MetaViewer.php?view_id=3&clip_id=1699&meta_id=207222

Journalists - who are generally idiots - wrote pieces about him "spreading misinformation." Reporters and journalists who had literature and communications degrees were peddling pieces calling Malone a misinformation spreader.

Dr Robert Malone is regarded as an inventor of mRNA vaccines and DNA vaccines; world-wide expert in RNA technologies. He received his medical training at Northwestern University (MD) and Harvard University (Clinical Research Post Graduate) medical school, and in Pathology at UC Davis. Scientifically trained at UC Davis, UC San Diego, and at the Salk Institute Molecular Biology and Virology laboratories, Dr Malone is an internationally recognized scientist (virology, immunology, molecular biology) and is known as one of the original inventors of mRNA vaccination and DNA vaccination. His discoveries in mRNA non viral delivery systems are considered the key to the current COVID-1 9 vaccine strategies.

His last tweet before he was suspended from twitter was a tweet citing a Canadian study that did not favorably show the efficacy of the vaccine. So, Twitter at the time said he couldn't discuss it publicly. That's the kind of efforts made against people who wanted to put their studies against theirs and ask away. Discussion ensued? Nope. Banning and labeling ensued.

You people are so funny. Where's the evidence/analysis? Do you even require any?

He went from podcast to podcast saying "they are wrong". No study. No analysis. No actual information.

"Journalists - who are generally idiots..." And, this is where I stop engaging with you. Disagreeing is one thing, but be a little more reasonable.

Never heard of the guy until I read it above.

If FOX led the charge that would be something indeed.

Nonsense. Pfizer and "the experts" that lied to us were the saboteurs
.
In Baltimore, when I got the vaccination and boosters from Pfizer, each time I had to sign off on three different tablets. The third was one specific to those with certain medical treatments/conditions. I actually read each one.

It told me that the shot would NOT 100% prevent COVID, but would minimize effects and help to lower the chance of getting COVID. It told me a list of possible side effects and that there could be unknown side-effects (this was early on in the pandemic) and to report to a doctor if any on the list or if something else was wrong. In order to take the shots, I had to sign off on these.

I was informed.

Nothing has happened to me as a result of the shots.

That would be their well known Tabloid style reporting and their well known Tabloid style Formatting.
Works for me. I know, literally, nothing about them.

They have been around since 1904 through various iterations. Their biggest proportional impact was during the WWII years. They use the colorful graphics with large headlines on their front pages and along in with their salacious articles involving crime and sex and of course some world and national reporting for variety.
