McConnell appears to freeze again during news conference

Biden, McConnel, Pelosi, Feinstein, Fetterman ... I'm sure a few more .... they're too old/incapable of leading

its embarrassing and offensive that our two political parties put these people in for decades .... everyone should be angry that they do
Only Mitch has been exhibiting this type of behavior... the same type of behavior that the cult projects onto Biden.

If President Biden were to have such a moment... the cult would celebrate, laugh, and try to play gotcha.

So glad this country is ran by geriatrics that have no clue who they are or where they are.
This has always been the case.

While the attention seems to be on Biden's mental health, perhaps we should turn it to Mitch McConnell. Is he also too old to be in the senate?

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday appeared to freeze again during a press conference in his home state of Kentucky.

Video showed the Republican senator speaking in Covington when he was asked by reporter about whether he will run for reelection in 2026. McConnell trailed off and was seen staring ahead for more than 30 seconds before an aide stepped in to ask if he'd heard the question.

The aide then turns to the room and says," Alright, I am sorry you all. We are going to need a minute."

A spokesperson for McConnell told ABC News, "Leader McConnell felt momentarily lightheaded and paused during his press conference today."

There's a big difference between a freeze and a pause.
This looks like dementia to me 😔

I'm not a doctor , I don't even play one on TV , but it looks like mini strokes. I had an employee who was suffering from them and that is what would happen to her.

Is it really ran by clueless geriatrics? How old are you?

So here's what happens if those in obvious decline get pushed out of office.

1) Mitch O'Connell gets replaced by who his Ky. Democrat governor chooses.
2) Diane Feinstein's replacement is chosen by Democrat governor, Gavin Newsom
3) Biden is replaced by Harris

Looks like they're all here to stay until they die in office or are voted out; weekend at Bernie's.

False equivalency... but that's really the best you have to give.

That is not what happens in KY....do your homework

You are misguided. A Governor must replace the Senator from the same Party the vacant Senator belonged. Having a Democrat Governor would not change the Senate seat away from the GOP in Ky. As it would not change in California.

"(b) The appointee shall be selected from a list of three (3) names submitted by the state executive committee of the same political party as the Senator who held the vacant seat to be filled, shall have been continuously registered as a member of that political party since December 31 of the preceding year, and shall be named within twenty-one (21) days from the date of the list submission.

Thank you. I will be sure to tell my husband the information he gave me is incorrect. We were discussing this just before I posted. Thanks again.

HOOT !

With mini-strokes he'd be rushed to the hospital. Minis are often a precursor to a big one.

Which is why it is much more likely that this is an absence seizure. My son has them and stays at school after them (we pick him up for partial seizures, and the school policy is to call EMS for grand mal). The staff at his school has come to recognize them because it can take a while to get them under control, if able to do so at all.

If you know someone is having absence seizures, they don't need to go to the hospital or even receive medical care, just making sure they are safe and they are under the general care of a neurologist or epilepsy specializing doctor.

Not necessarily. My employee would have these "spells" from time to time that lasted a few seconds, it wasn't until it started to happen on a more frequent basis that she had further testing done that showed a minor brain blockage that slowed blood to her brain. She had it dealt with surgically before it ever developed into a more serious situation. Having said that as a Senator you would think this would be treated seriously from the first occurrence.

My father and law was rushed to the hospital after suffering a tsa. He acted exactly like Mitch McConnell did. A complete blank stare. Nothing to fool around with.

Minis are often a precursor to a big one.

You are correct.

Mitch should have done more drugs, sex and rock and roll!

A year and 4 months separate these two in age!

Is Mitch McConnell really born just months before Joe Biden?

Wow.

That's awful.

Was she fired? I hope not.

wow

you have not been paying attention to what Fetterman and Feinstein have been saying (just gibberish with and/or focus etc) and Biden? we all know he'ss mentally compromised. Your side won't admit it but you can easily see it in his gait, his falls, his mumbling, stumbling slurred speech, looking off into the distance blankly, forgetting things, faux hand shaking and on and on and on

if Trump died tomorrow the left would have a parade - don't even try and talk about "playing gotcha"

Bret Baier was discussing it with Dr. Siegel. Dr. Siegel said just what you've said here. Siegel noticed there is a very calm approach taken each time these freeze ups happen. That leads him to believe it has nothing to do with mini-strokes because just as you said, he said that would lead to a very quick response and a rush to the hospital reaction. Siegel has never diagnosed or treated McConnell but he said he thinks Parkinsons would be his first guess - just from what he has observed and from the reaction of those around McConnell when it happens.

Really makes you wonder just what it is and why they would use such a shaky reason for it.

I agree with this. Either it could be a type of seizure or mini strokes. He has had at least 2 that we know about, on tv....he needs to see a doctor, pronto. He probably should also consider retiring.
