This hurts McCains already questionable credibility.

McCain is an absolute idiot. If he wasn't bad enough....he is responsible for foisting Sarah Palin on us. THAT may be worse than the crap that GWB left us with.

I don't understand why after the Presidential campaign he still stayed far to the right, he shoulda just said **** it and gone crazy with his votes, maybe become an independent. I mean he'll always be McCain... the war hero.

I agree. I used to respect McCain...but he cowtowed so far to the right-wing hoping to win the Presidency....and he's never come back. The guy completely sold out his integrity and has become a total joke. The only bigger joke is that people like Navy Pride think that McCain still has any credibility.

McCain: it's too long and detailed and didn't ask the exact right question and not detailed enough and a margin of error of less than 1 % is too big and...

It's hilarious watching people make excuses.

The report's critics are upset that the report didn't reach their desired conclusion.

It makes you wonder why they wanted the report in the first place.

IMO, it bought them a period of time during which they could maintain that their position reflected legitimate concerns related to the military (even as experience from foreign Armed Services undermined their position), not solely personal biases/preferences. Some might even have held out hope that the report would provide some ammunition that would bolster their position. Of course, when the report suggested otherwise, their positions were exposed for what they are, mere matters of personal opinion that have no connection to military performance. Having been revealed as lacking credible support for their position, their angry reaction was to be expected.

Another thread about gays by Navy Pride. Why oh why is Navy Pride so scared of gays??

I had some respect for McCain during the elections. I thought he was a man of moral integrity. Then I watched him over these last few years. He either sold his loyalty, or has revealed himself to truly be a hateful bigot and a liar. I don't know which, and I'm not entirely sure which is worse. But I know I no longer have any respect for him.

The anti-gay camp has clearly lost this one. It's a shame they can't lose with dignity.

McCain said that we can't repeal DADT until the Secretary of Defense says it's a good idea. Oops he did just that.

Then he said we should get the OK from the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff. Check, he gave the thumbs up.

Well now, he'll see what Colin Powell has to say. Powell says he's fine with it.

Ok, he's not doing too well here, so now he wants to wait on THE report on the opinions of the servicemen and women. Darn, that didn't go his way either.

How many wiffs does this guy get??

This is what McCain had to say the other day on MSNBC:

Let's see...
He dismisses the highest-ranking military officer.

The Republican appointed Secretary of Defense was confirmed by McCain. Then he said Gates has - never been in the military. Gates was a second lieutenant in the Air Force.

President Obama has no military experience? Except for being the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces during two on going wars, I guess you could be right.

McCain, have a little pride in yourself. You lost the last Presidential election, it's not the end of the world. You should know that, after all you lost in the primaries back in 2000. Remember the 'black baby' rumor?
