A troglodyte race would be fun, some have a head start on us librulz.
This is great, Japan gave the environazis and excuse to end all nuke power, and this will give them and excuse to say we should shut down oil drilling. We'll be living in caves in no time. Start getting your canned good together.
What about environmentalist types who are still wholly in support of vastly increasing our nuclear power generation?

Since when was environmentalist a bad thing? You would think that since that is the one thing we ALL need to live, it would be a top priority.
What about all those oilfield jobs? Or, do you take Bill Maher's stance on the issue and say, "**** your jobs"?
I haven't seen too many nuke powered cars on the market, lately.
Oil is a part of the environment and we need it to stay alive.
No, but there are certainly electric cars that you can plug into your home and recharge using energy potentially being generated from a nuclear power plant.
How much more electricity will that cause consumers to have to buy?
I'm not sure, but everything is a tradeoff.
It's no secret that oil won't last forever.
This is a pisser. Not because of environmental Damage but because it will give Obama another excuse to keep from drilling oil wells when we need it the most.
I see, you get your agenda and everyone else gets the bill, to make you happy. Awesome trade!!
That's why we should make the best of it while we can, strengthen our economy from the revenues the industry produces and use that time to develop a practicle replacement. Let's face it, it's going to cost a ****load of money to develop a new energy source and build the infrastructure to support it. Whether the government pays for it, or the private sector pays for it, the money has to come from somewhere. Killing private sector businesses and jobs is a step in the wrong direction.
Imagine that...limiting the use of environmentally hazardous technology because it is environmentally hazardous. We should probably build a Mark 1 nuclear reactor right next to your house since what we need most is the affordable energy.
You are aware that crude oil is organic and bio-degradable. Yes?
If you want to pay for 7 dollars/gallon gas in the future be my guest.
I was talking about nuclear power. Nowhere did I say anything about killing private sector jobs.
And burning it is bad for the environment.

If the government would stop trying to fix every goddamn thing, we wouldn't be paying so much and if we were, we could at least afford to do so.
You shut down the oil and gas industry and you're killing some of the best paying private sector jobs in the country, not to mention the tax revenue that is generated by those jobs.
Name another industry where a high-school drop out can go to work at 18, making 50 grand a year.
What does a law school grad make in his first year post bar exam?
If half the bull**** were true, we would all be dead by now.
