Just saw a sketchy report on the local news (Channel Five, NBC, Cincinnati at 6.26 PM EDST) Apparently seven dead, gun man on the loose.
If they didn't have such strict gun laws up there, the crime rate would drop.
If they didn't have such strict gun laws up there, the crime rate would drop.
If you will notice, though, in the states where Conceal and Carry has passed. violent crime dropped drastically.
Any one care to comment on the actual story?
Seven people dead, including a child. Suspect is identified and a search is on. Nothing like this has happened in my memory in GR.
any motive yet?
relative of Dantzler said he was recently released from prison and very distraught.
He was convicted of assault with intent to do great bodily harm in 2000, records show, and a relative said he may be bipolar and off his medication.
He may be responsible for all seven deaths, investigators said.
Police are in the process of chasing Rodric Dantzler, who was tracked to an area in Alpine Township and then merged onto U.S. 131. Witnesses said a civilian was shot in the area of Fulton and Division, as well.
The suspect has recently been released from prison. Thus he was a convicted felon and convicted felons are banned by federal law from owning any type of firearm.
probably bought a gun from someone who sold it to him illegally, from in-state or out-of-state.
or he just went to a local gun show and was able to buy whatever he wanted.
even if guns are banned police and military lose thousands a year through theft, stupidity and illegal sales to others
NYC has a much lower murder rate than many cities in Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and California. ALL states with much more leniant gun-restrictions.
Hell, Charlotte NC and Dallas TX both have higher murder rates, than Bloomberg's gun-grabbing NYC.
I think it has more to do with the economic decay in that state. Gun laws aren't that bad up there...it's a hunting state.
Either way, you can blame this on the Libbos.
Telling half the story isn't telling the whole story.
the NYC stats prove that lesser gun-laws does not neccessarily mean lower crime.
And stricter gun laws do not mean less crime either.
and that is why gun haters always lose the debate.
