Mask free Monday finally!

You are wrong. People do care about those deaths. Have you heard about the opioid crisis? Another straw man about what people "seem" to care about and to do what? Justify not taking Covid seriously? Is there a valid point her? No, just Covid whataboutism nonsense.

They act like we don't have a shit ton of driving regulations and billions of dollars going to research cures for diseases to limit those deaths.

We need to accept death as inevitable and that science really sucks is what.

Schools are now mask/social distancing free.
Stores have allowed employees to take off masks
Plastic “sneeze guards” are taken down
No more signs about masks on doors of businesses

Seems like “over” to me. 🤷‍♀️

The 23 people that died in your state yesterday of Covid disagree it's "over". But it's no longer inconveniencing your life to wear a mask to limit those deaths. Just say it.

The state house in my state removed the dividers yesterday also. 🤷‍♀️

None of these were MY decisions.

Our indoor mask mandate was dropped a long time ago. 🤷‍♀️

Our Governor ended the state of emergency also.

The pandemic is base on the presence of Covid, not on anything you listed. It also seemed like it was over prior to Omicron.

Public health emergency ended in NJ.

"With COVID-19 moving into an endemic, the time has come to move toward normalcy," Murphy said.

Politicians don't decide that it is endemic.

Take it up with Murphy.

He’s the one that ended the public health emergency and removed the requirements.

I don't care what any politician says about the pandemic. Their words and decrees do not necessarily reflect reality.

In George Orwell's book 1984, he showed how the populace could be duped into believing 2+2 really equaled 5 through fear, intimidation, and constant repetition. It is sad that the world operates this way and that this is the way humans "learn". We have been in "1984" at warp speed now for decades with the advent of alleged News shows being nothing other than propaganda machines for the state. People like Katy Tur and Jake Tapper convincing us that high gas prices are "good" all the while Russia is killing people, Biden shuts down pipelines and makes it cost-prohibitive to drill anymore. The people here them parrot what those people "in authority" say on TV as if it were a fact.

1984 is a work of fiction.

We need to accept death as inevitable and that science really sucks is what.

Science has been instrumental in increasing human life longevity and eradicating once fatal diseases. So while death is inevitable(duh), it can be put off longer and our lives can be made healthier through science. So please, when you get sick, don't bother the doctors or needlessly take up a hospital bed because death is inevitable, right?

Opioid death isn't contagious.

Let's say there was this magical solution for those issues....we'll call it a "vaccine". You take this "vaccine" and it magically increases your cancer survival rate by 98%, or your heart disease death risk by 90%, or even your risk of dying by an accident by 80%.

I would think a lot of people would care about all those deaths being magically reduced. If we were able to have a vaccine for cancer, it'd be pretty idiotic not to take it. Or what, you prefer seeing a love one die a slow painful death.
Just as an example...In the case of cancer, patients take to proven treatments (we all know about the side effects) as well as any alternative treatment available to them, hanging on to any glimmer of hope...rare exceptions noted. Not so with the covid vaccine. Why? Politics.

Correct. No need for insulin, diabetics die anyways. ;)

Too bad the Biden administration isn't.

In any event, the premise of his book is true, which is that millions are duped into believing something by MSM and repeated over and over by all the stations and newspapers. It is why and how millions of idiots dispensed with common sense and believed Trump colluded with Russia because the media convinced millions to hate and fear Trump. Look, this is the SAME playbook that depots have used for centuries. It works.

MSM is just rinsing and repeating a strategy that works.

We should not idolize science or those with initials behind their names. As we have seen, through fear and intimidation and totalitarianism by corporations, scientists have become political and silenced if they go against consensus OPINION.

The premise of the book is one man's view and one man's only. It seems you use it like believers use the bible. You can't take the book and apply it to whatever you like because it makes you think you are smarter than everyone and see through things. You actually need to do the hard work of backing your view with real life information and facts. Until you do that, you are just seeing what your belief makes you see.

Stating facts about how science has benefited the human race is not idolizing science. You need to at least give science credit for enabling you to post your ill informed opinions and paranoid rantings on the internet. You really don't see through anything, but you seem to have a desperate need to believe that you do.

I use REAL life events and not theory and conjecture like the scientists did to CLAIM that masks "work". The REAL life event was Russian Collusion where the tactic of hate, fear, and lies repeated over and over was used to the usual success it always has.

That may have been the case in the past. Now they are intimidated by their peers and real terminations (cancel culture) and threats to lose their jobs if they don't go along with the consensus. FB and Twitter cancel all those who disagree with THEIR doctors/scientists and that alone keeps them either silently or claiming they agree with their peers. We are in Orwellian times today. Just ask Katy Tur and other blithering idiot son TV who want to make us happy that we have high gas prices. Up is down, black is white.
