Man claims to have seen the afterlife

Oh. What. Ever.

Plenty of people almost die and have no conscious experience. Some have a conscious experience that lines up with what they already believe. Yet others write books and then years later admit they lied; in particular, I recall one kid who 'wrote' a book with the help of his father, who actually made the vast majority of it up and forced his kid to claim that it was his own experience. Kid spilled the beans later as an adult.

And according to the opening bit, the guy was already in fantasy. "A door slammed! Must be a ghost! Can't have been that gust of wind outside and maybe some window frames that aren't fully sealed on opposite sides of the house!" etc.

This dude sounds like he's playing Martin's (GoT) game: taking something historical - in this case Dante's work, in Martin's case European wars - rejiggering it, and passing it off in a new form.

He adds: ‘Based on my extensive reading of various communications via mediums, the reason the newly-departed do not see God is simply because we are, at first, too primitive and, immediately after leaving the Earth, occupy planes of existence not nearly exalted or advanced enough to closely approach the divine.'

(link).

Oh, he claims to have read about communications with "mediums", aka charlatans that prey on the desperate and gullible. Just great.

I wonder if any of those resurrected in the Bible saw an afterlife?🤔

Sounds like nothing more that advertising for his new book.

I've had an NDE (near-death experience) myself, and I can attest this article is pretty much spot on

It's generally accepted that hypoxia (low oxygen) and anoxia (no oxygen) can influence the brain and potentially contribute to the experiences reported during NDEs. Studies have shown that during cardiac arrest, oxygen levels in the brain drop, and carbon dioxide levels rise, which could lead to "cerebral acidosis" and potentially trigger NDE-like experiences. Additionally, neurotransmitters like dopamine might also play a role in the intense feelings and hallucinations reported during NDEs

No one really knows what comes next. If you're interested in this sort of thing, though, Reincarnation: Past Lives Revisited is a pretty good podcast.
What generally comes next is the complete cessation of biological functions, followed by the progressive breakdown and decomposition of organic tissues, eventually becoming worm chow and/or plant fertilizer.

You clearly dont know what archive is, its a paywall bypass site.
The original article was posted on Daily Mail

Then you should have said that and posted an excerpt from the article, like every other mature poster on this forum does.

It just as easily could have been a link to site that would install a virus on my computer. That might STILL be the case.
