Major League Baseball 2017

I always was a Tiger fan and ergo, an Al Kaline fan.
It is possible that Al's somewhat mushy, unathletic look prolonged my failing baseball career.
As in..."If THIS guy can do it, so can I"

The thing was, he looked just like that at 60.

And yeah, I had my Al Kaline signed glove, and my AL Kaline signature series bat, and my Al Kaline autograph baseball(bought sadly, no signed for me).

Oof.

Phillies scored more runs in that 1 game than the Mets have scored so far this year in 5 games combined. lol

So far watching the Mets is as Yogi said 'deja vu all over again'. My God if they don't hit a HR they don't score. Just like last year.

As an Orioles fan, there have been a number of starting pitchers I hated to see go. Schilling and Arrietta are two of them. Guthrie isn't one of them.

His Nats career line will read: 2/3 inning, ERA 135.00.

What the **** has gotten into my Diamondbacks?

A co-worker of mine's son got called up to the Blue Jays this past Saturday, Casey Lawrence. Didn't go well for his Major League debut, he walked home the winning run in the 11th inning. But, he's still with the Blue Jays. Pretty cool no matter what. Not many people can say they made it to the Majors.

The three worst teams in the AL are also the three worst teams at RISP (hitting with runners in scoring position) in the majors (K.C., Blue Jays and Seattle).

Unless you have a phenomenal pitching staff and defense, you simply cannot win in the AL with a lousy RISP.

Good matchup tonight at SF.

What the **** has gotten into my Diamondbacks?

They're healthy, new GM and Manager, 1st week at home, a SP staff that has a year under its belt plus Walker;

The NL certainly looks to be stronger this year, especially the West, but it's early.

Guthrie is the only pitcher ever to give up 10 or more runs without getting out of the first inning twice.

Nats are skipping the 5th starter in the rotation this week with Thursday off as far as early projections show I've seen .

I see Tim Tebow hit another homerun. He is a type of player that can rejuvenate baseball slagging ratings and really become a star in the sport.

Luckily his rights are owned by the Mets who are struggling offensively. Imagine him in the Mets lineup during the pennant race with that pitching staff? Not only would he be the talk of New York and baseball, but Tebowmania would sweep the United States.

Really jealous the Mets have his rights. His passion and excitement can really carry the Mets to the playoffs and who knows.

The Mets currently have a great hitting outfielder, Conforto, sitting on the bench.

Tebow won't even make AAA.

He's almost 30 and has done nothing but struggle so far in the Arizona Fall League and A ball. If he ever does pick up serious baseball skill it will be by the time he is well in his decline physically. I seriously doubt he'll be leading any team to the playoffs ever.

Tigers are hot to a hot 6-2 start and the amazing thing is that their big stick - Cabrera has done nothing in the 8 games and Victor Martinez at clean up is not producing either. They are doing it with the other guys and that is pretty impressive because you know Cabrera will get it back in time.

Andrew Romine, a very versatile player , hit a grand slam to win the game today and is hitting over 500 right now.

The Mets have 5 very good Outfielders. And Teabow isn't anywhere near as good as ANY of those 5, especially defensively. From what I am hearing he's pretty terrible defensively.

This was a bad PR stunt by the Mets. I'm not sure what the hell they were thinking. Minor league ticket sales I guess. Because he'll never come close to the majors.

Go O's!!!

Meanwhile, what is up with the Blue Jays? I ask not to rub it in, I actually like the Blue Jays when they're not playing the Orioles, but man they are off to a horrid start.

Oooh, Jays finally get one 2-1. I hate that it came against my O's, but I'm happy for the Jays. I don't want them to be out of it yet.
