The company that makes Lysol is urging customers not to consume its cleaning products after President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of injecting disinfectants to protect people from coronavirus.

Reckitt Benckiser (RBGLY), a British company, warned Friday that human consumption of disinfectant products is dangerous. It issued the statement following "recent speculation and social media activity."

I said it from the beginning: The election of Donald Trump to the highest office on the planet was a textbook example of winning a battle at the cost of the war. The GOP is a farce, and I don't see any way of reversing this fact for at least a decade.

Dr. Trump, the Public Health Threat-in-Chief and stable genius, sharing his wisdom with the populace. That went well.

More and more I'm believing Trump wants to turn his base into a death cult. When his cult members start killing themselves on the WH Lawn, then he'll be happy.

Lysol honestly had to issue a statement telling his cult not to drink their product? lol You can't make this stuff up.
 
The look on Dr Birx's face says it all when he made that statement. If ever there was a WTF face it was hers.

It's just stunning that the Washington consumer protection would feel compelled to put out a warning to all people not to eat Tide pods. Are people really that stupid? Oh wait -- fish tank cleaner death. Yep, unfortunately, they are.

Dr. Birx should have immediately discouraged his wild fantastical recommendation. That's her job. But like many Trump 'experts' they walk a very fine line between being there to give people their expert advice and unwilling to speak up against a hair-brained idea coming from Trump because they're aware he'll kick them to kingdom-come if they do, which would leave the American public with nobody willing to give credible advice.

When Trump's incompetence borders on becoming dangerous, it's time for the right to stop making excuses and justifying this behavior.

Eriech, a corporation is not going to issue a warning for ****s and giggles. They need to be sure that only Trump will be held liable for the idiots who listen to him that might drink their stuff.

It has been a thing for decades, posting warning like not using a toaster in the bathtub filled with water, and no... Trump did not say anything about people taking poison.
