This is not legal, and the feds are going to step on Louisiana's neck.Interesting. The change makes chemical abortion pills illegal and persons having or giving them to a woman would be at risk of criminal prosecution.

Go learn the difference between a fetus and a child. I suggest a medical dictionary.
yes a child in the womb is still a child,,,Seems like you answered your own question. Still in womb, not child
a child is a catch all word that can be used from conception on past death,,Go learn the difference between a fetus and a child. I suggest a medical dictionary.
So?and science proved a long time ago that life begins at conception,,
the intentional killing of an innocent child is everyones business,,

yes they do

Well, it shouldn't have, just because some people abuse any potential thing doesn't mean it should be restricted for all. Even K-16 would heavily benefit our country as a whole.
Why exactly have we gone down this absurd polarization?
But what happens in the 1970s is, first of all, with the passing of Roe v. Wade, you see a spike in the number of abortions. And that causes many Americans, not just evangelicals, to kind of rethink is this what we wanted? But I think more importantly, you have the rise of second-wave feminism and, in conservative, white, evangelical spaces, a real backlash against feminism. And over the course of that decade, abortion becomes linked to feminism. And so you see the sentiment start to shift so that in 1979, when political activist Paul Weyrich identifies abortion as a potential to really mobilize conservative evangelicals politically, to help build the Moral Majority, then it is a very effective mechanism for doing so. And from 1979 on, that's when you see a real kind of shrinking of space within conservative evangelicalism to have any view on abortion that isn't strictly and staunchly pro-life, life begins at conception.
A blob of cells is not a child.yes they do

NO,,, you dont care when a child life begins/conceived,,So?
Nobody cares about when life begins. A germ is a life. An ant is a life.
Nobody is debating when "life" begins.
The debate has always been when PERSONHOOD begins. When does the clump of cells become a human person. Which is a philosophical question that cannot be answered objectively.
yes a child in the womb is still a child,,,
no mother ever has said she was pregnant with a fetus,,
thats a word doctors and victims use to justify killing that child
I dont need religion to tell me killing an innocent child is wrong,,A blob of cells is not a child.
Keep your religion to yourself.
NO,,, you dont care when a child life begins/conceived,,
some if us care very much
your surrender is accepted..My my, those evil doctors hatin' on the unborn. How can we allow them in our society?
Obviously we cannot trust them, with women, to decide what's best for women's healthcare and reproduction.
Actually, better them than any right-wing loon.My my, those evil doctors hatin' on the unborn. How can we allow them in our society?

in this case it is,,You clearly do not understand the science behind it.

I don't know. To me abortion should be an issue roughly of equal weight as the death penalty. Take your moral stance on it, but, ultimately does it move mountains politically, no. I would never withhold a vote, or give a vote, based on someone's position on the death penalty. But, the religious right saw an opening, and they exploited it.
Some historical context:
I'd disagree, but the life of the mother is still significant and important, that's something people with a pure pro-life stance don't get.A blob of cells is not a child.
Keep your religion to yourself.
You are proposing that personhood begin at conception, which is as I said before a philosophical question with no objective answer.NO,,, you dont care when a child life begins/conceived,,

Abortion isn't an easy topic, of course. But one issue that non-lenient pro-life individuals is their lack of nuance on the importance of a woman's health and mental health. Thanks for the extra information
