Looks like there was a LOT OF LYING going on

I'll take the direct word of the experts.

That's exactly what I posted.

This is the most important security crisis you will face in your presidency.

But alas, he didn't take the word of his experts.

My "point" is as always knocking down the lies of Trumpeters and you offer so many opportunities to do that. So, thanks.
Disgorging this effluvia ain't doing what you think it is. :lamo

So, what's your point? Seems like he was taking it serious, including he responsibility to prevent panic.

You think you would have forgotten a conversation about a deadly pandemic about to affect the country? I would.
Given that he probably has thousand of important conversations every day, yeah, it's possible.

Trump knew the truth and chose to lie. That's what happened.

What happened is the country was already in panic mode, wiping out store shelves of disinfectant, toilet paper, sanitizer, PPE, and other things. As any president would do, Trump tried to calm the country down out of panic mode. Many presidents have done this. If Biden were president and he knew an asteroid was coming to smash us to smithereens, do you think Biden would tell us the truth or lie to protect us from mass hysteria and lawlessness?

That's a nice memory filter you have there. What he says today about that screw up is nothing but more lies and cover up.

None of this exonerates Trump.

But he's already let's see our serial rapist in league with the Russian government a resurrected Nazi the devil incarnate four or five times.

The man could cure all forms of cancer and it wouldn't exonerate him. You would be complaining because now doctors are out of work.

Sorry, no. The memory failures aren't on my side. He was taking actions while many, including those in politics and the media were saying "hey' it's no big deal". When he restricted travel from China, he was attacked and insulted. When he mentioned the problems with the China virus in his State Of the Union on Feb 4, 2020:

Protecting Americans' health also means fighting infectious diseases. We are coordinating with the Chinese government and working closely together on the coronavirus outbreak in China. My administration will take all necessary steps to safeguard our citizens from this threat.

Pelosi tore it up.

As I said - my memory's fine.

If he was taking it seriously he would have been ramping up testing and PPE supplies. He would have created a national plan of action. He was only trying to prevent panic in the stock market. He should have allowed the experts to do the talking in the initial press conferences instead of confusing the public. Everything he did was about winning the election.

The reason you people still think Trump has done a good job is because you hang out with like minded people who share fake stories with each other. You guy’s believe everything you read that supports your narrative. I’m a former Trump supporter so I get hating on liberals. At some point you have to see things as they are.

Uh, maybe you missed it - he did ramp up PPE and ventilators. A "national plan of action" was exactly what he did - allowing the state governors to act within their constitutional authority and tailor their response to state and local conditions while the feds expedited supply lines, provided military field hospitals and hospital ships and provided expert advise from CDC. Cuomo demanded 40,000 ventilators, got them,su and had to give many of them away. Oh, and Trump convinced private manufacturers to change their production lined over to supply PPE, ventilators, etc.

In fact several governors, include Cuomo and Newson of California complimented Trump on the support he provided them.

You may have heard this before: I'd suggest YOU PEOPLE think he's doing a poor jobs is because YOU hang out with like minded people who share fake stories with each other.

No he didn't. He was stealing ventilators from states to give or sell to others. We were constantly short until we didn't need them any more because it was found that other treatments worked then vents most of the time. Now that we have too many he gets to brag about how great he was. He is doing a poor job.

Hospitals are still short of PPE, to the point that it was becoming an emergency situation during the recent spike.

Good job Brownie.

You are in the correct thread though. There is still a lot of lying going on.

Good thing for us that that H in the word Democrat stands for Honesty.

Probably around the same time anonymous sources for the Atlantic did.

Nope it was when your man child got elected and started leading his sheep around through Tweeter.

Good one. That was funny enough to save for posterity.

I haven't heard Cuomo and Newsom complimenting Trump recently! Everything you are talking about is in the past and was basically worthless. Look around you. Nations with good leadership are in much greater condition than us. They are opening up and starting to live normal lives. We could have been right with them but now it'll be at least a year before we get there. Good job!

BTW..What sense does it make to let individual states do their own thing? People travel from state to state. We have seen the failures of California, AZ, Texas, Florida, Georgia etc. Does it sound like letting them do their own thing was a good idea?

My whole family is conservative and everyone agrees that Trump blew it. They will all still vote for him but at least they aren't in denial.

Of course - the election is too near. And because if Trump did his job and NY and CA are still wallowing in Covid that would mean Cuomo and Newson are at fault; neither prima donna is capable of admitting that.

Actually it's not "nations with good leadership", it' nations with pliant and obedient populations. Didn't see anything like this in German or Out Korea:

And I'm pretty sure neither Germany nor South Korea suffered through months of rioting/protesting.

Travel was down 75%. Do you really think just because someone works for the federal government he's gonna be more competent and successful than people who actually LIVE in the state/city where they work?

Just because your family members are confused doesn't mean ever conservative is.
