Hardly. The right to dictate others' lives is the most dangerous power available.
Clever tactic indeed. Perhaps you can tell us just why the "consequences of that issue" and "the inherent dangers involved" seemed to arrive spontaneously, and immediately after the 2012 election, yet did not seem to exist at all during the campaign leading up to that election. Feinstein just happened to have an AWB/MCL written and ready to roll out even before the "Biden team" even called for it. To me this seems just a bit more of a political timing of a preplanned event (poitical agenda?) rather than some "crisis" or "emergency" situation having suddenly occured to trigger it. As recent news reports suggest the real nature (truth?) of the infamous CT shooting, initially hyped as "proof" that an AWB ban was "the answer", now indicate that handguns, not even mentioned in most of the 23 EO nonsense, were the weapons of mass murder in that "key" incident.
Yeah man...you bet. Like...no guns, and they still manage to successfully complete the act of suicide at a rate 5 times greater than in the US. Which makes your suicide/gun comment rather...silly.
There have been quite a few voted after dying though:mrgreen:Oh, there's not a lot of dictating going on. Never heard tell of anyone dying after a drive by voting.

There's a lot more people today, and population centers are large. An idiot can do a lot of damage. And they do. A young man plays around at a party and accidentally shoots a girl across the room in the neck killing her. A kid plays with dad's pistol and shots a brother, sister, random neighbor kid. On a hunting trip, someone accidentally shots someone in the face. This stuff happens regular enough.
Facts:
WASHINGTON — Between 2006 and 2010, 561 children age 12 and under were killed by firearms, according to the FBI’s most recent Uniform Crime Reports.
The numbers each year have been consistent: 120, 115, 116, 114, and 96 in 2010. The FBI’s count does not include gun-related child deaths that authorities have ruled accidental.
‘‘This happens on way too regular a basis and it affects families and communities — not at once, so we don’t see it and we don’t understand it as part of our national experience,’’ said Daniel Webster, director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research.

Here we go again...
Three people were injured during a shooting on the campus of Lone Star College in Houston, Texas, this afternoon, causing the school to be locked down and evacuated while police searched for a suspect.
Police officials who spoke on campus at 3 p.m. today said that shots were fired on the campus and at least three people were injured.

Maybe if the media stopped sensationalizing this crap it wouldn't happen?
It's abundantly clear that there are psychos out there that will kill several people for their 15 minutes.
or liberals who were against those records being supplied to law enforcement agencies or NICS

Poor decisions over generations, may kill all of us, or at least our way of life.
Really? Not to keen on history, then, are you? We voted to anihilate the native americans, and then there's the african americans...you should maybe think before you post.
Like I said, all of this existed prior to the 2012 elections, yet the campaign silence on the "critical issue" was deafening.
This isn't a mass shooting.
Nope, mass shootings and violence in general have not risen in accordance with the availability of media. Just an oversimplification that some tend to fall back on.Maybe if the media stopped sensationalizing this crap it wouldn't happen?

I've seen first hand outcomes with civilians with weapons as a paramedic.
Sure you were.

Maybe you trust every citizen with a gun more than the police, but most people do not.
You see first hand outcomes with cops with weapons as a paramedic?
So....wait...somewhere, among the 350+ millions americans, two of them with guns shot at each other?
From what I have heard, there was only one gun and one shooter involved.
And placing his gun back in his waistband, the gun discharged, striking him in the backside.
Arrested later at the Hospital.
With and without actually. The ones I listed were not cops, as they only shot someone who really wasn't armed on my watch.
But this is what your responded to:

You do know why they only let Barney have one bullet, don't you?
