The terror alert has been raised to its maximum for all U.S. flights after the British broke up a huge plot to fly about ten planes from Britain into the U.S. to be used as missiles.

Now my first thought is about all the fighting between responsible British leaders who have been trying to increase national security with sensible post 7-7 policies and the far left fanatics who, just like ours, oppose any and all measures any intelligent human being would take to prevent further attacks.

We are not the only country with a loud liberal noise machine that puts itself in the way of apt national security measures at every turn.

But apparently, the far left in Britain, just as in this country, shouldn't be listened to seeing as how the "fascist" policies of Tony Blair are clearly preventing mass murder quite well...and without violating anyone's ACTUAL rights.

either that.....or you're very easily manipulated. Take a quick glance at Republican tactics and talking points and then tell me that the #1 Republican strategy is not preying on the American public with their politics of fear.
Just yesterday, your VP Cheney tried to say that the election was a demonstration on how the Democrats are weak on terror and national security. Do these guys ever quit? At least the American people are seeing through the smoke screen. Obviously, however, not everyone can or is willing to admit that they are being manipulated.

I can just see the loony lefty crowd bashing our security by insisting we're racial profiling again. Will these lefties ever realize that we're fighting an unconventional enemy, and realize that America is not the enemy, and that we are now fully ensconsed into WWIII? I still see the liberals as being a greater threat to our soverginty and to our safety then all the terrorists combined. History of the liberal actions tells me that I'm correct. And with the defeat of Leiberman, this loony crowd is inching even further to the extreme left side to politics. I see the demise of the Democratic party coming real soon--perhaps just in time for the November elections.

1. I'm very glad to see that the security measures in Britain worked in this case. Way to go for them!

2. I'm ashamed that we as americans act too often like children on a playground making fun of each other whenever there is a possability. I am wondering if there is any link to the arrest of two Dearborn, MI men with $11,000. in cash and 12 trak phones. They also admitted to buying another 600 trak phones in various stores. They also had a list of Wal-Marts in several states, airline passenger lists and information on airport security stations.

Trak phones are commonly used by criminals and can also be used to detonate bombs. They are almost impossible to trace.

It's also curious that the missing Egyptian issue came up in the past few days.

Was all this part of a larger plot??

I am just so happy that our government, and the British government are doing such a great job of watching these people, and disrupting these plots. Thank goodness they were not allowed to carry this out, it sounds as if they were planning to top the deaths that occured on 9/11.
