The only thing that matters about these spoiled little brats is that they face the same laws the rest of us face. So LL should be headed back to her private cell in County, and perhaps that Paris broad could learn about the wisdom of ...umm... borrowing someone else's hand bag that looks exactly like hers but has this extra cocaine in it she ...ahem...was of course completely unaware of..
I'm not sure what the penalty for first time possession of cocaine is, but certainly there's no reason that rich well connected white pornstars who do interracial scenes should not be given the exact same sentence as would have been handed out to her black co-actor if he'd been caught wearing jeans that looked just like his own but just happened to have someone else's cocaine in the pocket.
Certainly a good little liberals should put their lives where their mouths are, right?
sometimes celebs get off easy-sometimes they don't.
when I was in law school the crim law section was a mix of libs, moderates and conservatives and the professor was hard core left (great guy btw) who was LA's top public defender for the death penalty and is a leading expert and opponent on the DP today. He noted that the only reason why Patty Hearst-an obvious case of the "Stockholm Syndrome" got jail time was due to her celebrity. Everyone in the class-including 4 ex Nam vets and a couple police officers agreed. Bernie Goetz happened when I was in school as well-same thing-if the guy hadn't become a celebrity he never would have done time for the gun possession.
so I agree, celebs often get away with stuff but in some cases they get nailed far harder. Lots of judges are elected and if the celeb is say a rich dem and you are in a GOP area, you gain brownie points by ripping the defendant up. ON the other hand if you are GOP judge and the defendant is the nephew of the GOP governor I am sure the mope will get cut a break
