This is the basic mindset behind the Progressive mind. You, the individual are incapable of overcoming the odds. You cannot succeed. This is the message sent to the black community for decades, and now, heavily reliant on the Government the Black Community is now empowered... and enslaved, to keep those that are "helping them" to stay in power.

That's the point of the debate over healthcare going on right now. Obama and Co. believe that you are TOO STUPID, and incapable of making intelligent choices, and unless you allow them to make these decisions for you... people will DIE. CHILDREN, they will die. And they couch this all in the populist stupidity of "evil rich"...

Again this furthers the ultimate goal of making all American's dependent on the Government. They believe that through the benevolence of the Federal Government, can people be freed from the harshness of life. "EQUALITY!" Yes, equally enslaved in dependence on Uncle Sam.

Instead of breaking the market locks, that keeps insurance locked in each state, and allowing competition and market forces to improve both the quality and costs of healthcare... they deem it in your best interest to just let the Government handle all those pesky choices for you. After all, you might fail, and then the children might suffer.

I don't believe that per say, the entire goal of an enslaved populace is the goal of the left, it's a necessary and in the end positive evil for them. They want to help you hapless rubes in your miserable lives. That they'll ensure you'll never throw off the yoke they are placing around your necks by voting them out is merely a plus for them. You cannot, and will not give up that "free stuff" they are offering. Why, you might get sick! You might die!!!

Freedom, Liberty... these things come with risks, yes, people will make the wrong choices from time to time. People will fail, suffering will occur. But so will success, so will happiness. This is unacceptable to so many on the left.

Freedom and liberty are easier to enjoy when you don't have to worry about what will happen should any serious health concerns arise with either you or any of your loved ones. Just a thought.
