Let The "MidTerm" Games Begin: The Jan 6 Insurrection Hearings...

Which Party will rule after the Midterm Election?...

  • Total voters
    48
  • Poll closed .
Which party will rule after the Mid-Terms? Unless inflation disappears, cost of rents drops, home affordability increases, gas prices drop, crime in general and mass shootings in particular drop, well...Republicans. Obviously.

The Party in power almost always gets buffeted even when times are relatively grand. That is to say nothing of when times are lousy.

I agree 100%, but do you think it is possible for the right to be punished for such bad behavior...
It is so sad that many American people have become so disconnected from their government...

Democrats closing the gap with GOP as midterms near, according to a new poll

Voters reveal the economy is their greatest concern going into the midterms

Ronna McDaniel on midterm elections:
'Not a single Democrat wants to be seen with Joe Biden'
Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman of the RNC, discusses the uphill battle the Democrats will have in the upcoming midterm elections. Democrats appear to be closing the gap with Republicans, according to a new poll that found the GOP only has a one-point edge on the generic ballot with less than four months until the midterms.

The Emerson College National Survey revealed Republicans lead Democrats by just one point, 45% to 44%, which represents a nine-point improvement for Democrats since February.

According to the poll, President Biden's job approval rating sits at roughly 40%, a number that is unchanged from June, but up 2% from May, with a disapproval of 53% among voters. If the 2024 presidential election were held today, 46% said they would vote for former President Trump, giving him the lead over Biden, who received 43%.

Have you forgotten, but it was Kevin McCarthy who pulled all R's from the committee after the Speaker of the House rejected two members, Gym Jordan because he was a possible witness & the other idiot when he said his mind was already made up & no evidence would change it. McCarty had three who weren't rejected & he could have appointed two more for a total of five. He refused & forbad all MAGA R's from participating. Most news channels reported it at the time.
Of course he 'forgot'. These 'Libertarian/republican/conservative/trumpies' are known to forget anything that may represent the truth about their hero, traitor trump. What is the saying? Ignorance is bliss? 🤡

Understanding the 2022 Midterm Elections

November’s midterm elections are likely to shift the political landscape and impact what President Biden can accomplish during the remainder of his first term. Here’s what to know.

When are the midterm elections? The general election is on Nov. 8, but the primary season is already underway. Here’s a complete calendar of all the primaries in 2022.

Why are the midterms important? The midterm elections determine control of Congress: The party that has the House or Senate majority gets to organize the chamber and decide what legislation Congress considers. Thirty-six governors and thousands of state legislators are also on the ballot. Here’s a complete guide to the midterms.

Which seats are up for election? Every seat in the House and a third of the seats in the 100-member Senate are up for election. Dozens of House members have already announced they will be retiring from Congress instead of seeking reelection.

What is redistricting? Redistricting is the process of drawing congressional and state legislative maps to ensure everyone’s vote counts equally. As of April 25, 46 of the 50 states had settled on the boundaries for 395 of 435 U.S. House districts.

Which primaries are the most competitive? Here are the most interesting Democratic primaries and Republican primaries to watch as Republicans and Democrats try to nominate their most electable candidates.

Let's Be Clear: The Battle Before Us Is Democracy vs. Autocracy

1659214971841.png

America needs a national pro-democracy movement to stop the anti-democracy movement now underway.

Democracy is not just under attack in America. In some states, it’s being lost.

Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis once suggested that states could serve as laboratories of democracy, but these states are more like laboratories of autocracy.

Take Wisconsin. The GOP has so successfully rigged state elections through gerrymandering that even when Democrats get more votes, Republicans win more seats. In 2018, Republicans won just 45% of the vote statewide but were awarded 64% of the seats.

Wisconsin is one of several states where an anti-democracy movement has taken hold — but it wasn’t always this way.

In fact, Wisconsin pioneered the progressive era of American politics at the start of the twentieth century — with policies that empowered workers, protected the environment, and took on corporate monopolies. State lawmakers established the nation’s first unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, and strict child labor laws.

After House Passes Assault Weapons Ban,

Advocates Say Senate Opponents Must Be Forced to Vote

The bill stands virtually no chance of passing in the Senate, but campaigners said a vote would "show young people why we need to turn out to expand [Democrats'] majority in the Senate."

^^^^See how propaganda works! This is a tell tale sign of failure, redirection, and lack of reality.

If there aren't enough rational intelligent Americans to vote the absolutely insane Republicans out of office then the America that has been the shining light for all the world to emulate since its inception is no more.

This trump period in our countries history has been a black time. It revealed a dark underbelly in the American population. Trump gave them voice and they have been loud every since. We need to send them back to the rocks they crawled out from under.

"Now, the Senate must heed President Biden's call to get this vital legislation to his desk, and take up this bill without delay," Jayapal said.

Some gun control advocates joined the call for the Senate to pass the bill, while others including former Democratic Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner said lawmakers should focus on reforming the filibuster, which requires the Democrats to convince 10 Republicans to vote with them for the ban—and pressuring right-wing Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) to support reform.

"Leader [Chuck] Schumer needs to get his caucus in line and if not, make Manchin and Sinema go on record that they're okay with children being slaughtered," said Turner. "Enough is enough."

The Jan 6 Insurrection Hearings...

Fox Will Not Air the Jan 6 Insurrection Hearings...

According to Deadline, the top Fox network will not be airing the hearings on Jan. 6 by the House Select Committee on Thursday. They'll be the only network to do so.

According to the network, they'll be airing the opinions of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham instead. All three hosts have attacked the proceedings and downplayed the seriousness of the attempt to overthrow the election and stampede the Capitol. On Fox Business, however, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will host coverage of the hearings beginning at 8 p.m. EST.

Already Fox hosts have been called out for trying to gin up fear over anything but the Jan. 6 hearings. They've already begun sounding the alarm about an incoming caravan of immigrants that will invade the United States. It's the same thing that the network tried to push in 2018 ahead of the midterm election. Once the election was over, the crisis mysteriously disappeared...

You realize we have a record number of illegal immigrants coming across the border since Biden took office. A total of 1.9 million migrants were apprehended at the southern border in fiscal year 2021 and than 2.4 million migrants have come in contact with Border Patrol agents since Biden took office in late January 2021.
