No, I took personal responsibility and still do and now you're backtracking and lashing out at me.No, my comment was not snarky and classless, but yours was, because it was snarky, personal, and classless. Instead of taking responsibility for personally insulting someone else with a snarky comment, you're trying to avoid it. You are the one who decided to get personal but instead of acknowledgeing that fact you're pretending you can make snarky comments and get away with it. When I meant if society would be wrecked by marijuana being legalized, and how I found it both funny and sad how people keep pining for it, I factored in every single possible side-effect, from people losing IQ points and failing classes, to all manner of foolish behavior resulting from being stoned. It's a bit sad, and it's a bit funny, because people want to get their hands on a drug that damages brain cells, lowers IQ, and obscures their senses. So no, instead of trying to get personal and uncredible, how about you discuss the issue with me like an adult instead of resorting to classless, personal insults?

LOL, please don't lecture me on "good discussion." Your post history and your initial comment illustrate how unlikely it is that your posts will display it.I haven't lashed out at you. However, I did point out your snarky comment for what it is. It's a sign of poor debate skill to insult your ideological opponents. That's a whole 'nother issue in itself.
Now, if you want to discuss the issue with me minus any snarky comments, feel free to have a good discussion with me on the issue.

In the moment, but then again, alcohol can make people sloppy and uninhibited in the moment, so I don't know what you're argument is trying to say. Now, I think there are studies that say people who smoke weed are more likely to be less motivated in general, but it really depends on the person and how they use it. I suspect some of the most successful people you know or have heard of smoke. It's more prevalent than you probably think.Like I said.... weed makes you unmotivated and lazy.
I'm with ya.(even though I consider citation quotas to be an incredibly bad way of managing the police)
Only when I think the person I'm talking to warrants it. :lol:Again, stay classy.

It shows you'll resort to personal quips instead of taking shots at refuting my political statement.
Quips, personal and otherwise, are political.
Yeah, that Michael Phelps sure is unmotivated.
yes alcohol no marijuana. and not everyone drinking alcohol gets drunk or addict...
Only if we have a rehabilitation program based on Sweden's.
I have friends who smoke pot, and have done so for 40 years.
didnt any of those heroin addicts begin this with marijuana ? never?
But where did I say exactly (as you claim) : Until every single person in america is a responsible drinker, we should screw everybody.
I understand that that is your interpretation of post, but that's not exactly what I said - not even close. Why are you putting words in my mouth and do you think that by doing so, it's going to do more to advance your pro-legalization position? Why can't you just use MY words instead of attributing a comment to me that I never made?
Yes.
..............
i've read a lot of comments saying that it isn't any worse then alcohol so we should legalize it.
Doing this can cause multiple problems. Start with one type of drug (ie. Alcohol) and legalize it. okay fine. Do I agree with Alcohol being legal? No. I don't agree because of incidents involved in its use. However, that's a different topic for another day. Legalize marijuana, you could see increased high-school drop outs, increased debt (improper use of income) and possibly more problems then what I have listed. Bottom line is, when we bring another drug into America to be legal, it starts a chain. In one or two decades, pot could be legal. Marijuana is already legal in California and look how their economy is doing on a state-to-state level (of course other figures are involved also).
Recreational use should or should not be legalised?
My belief is that it should be, and two major parties here already advocate it. What are your thoughts?
