LAPD DELIBERATELY shoots an Aussie Reporter with a rubber bullet

It comes with being advanced societies that have things like roads. Do you not use or benefit from the use of motorized vehicles or something?
See, we're bright enough to have figured out how to cross a street safely. Americans clearly need their hands held and be told what to do.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
How long did it take for you to think up that little gem of stupidity? Reporters put themselves in harm's way in every conflict. How else do you think you got your films and reports of what was happening in Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, and wherever else America stuck its unwanted snout.
What was that you said about playing stupid games? Babbitt got her prize.

As privileged Democrats live in their mega-mansions behind walls in their gated communities, free from the uncivil hoi polloi shoplifting at Food 4 Less and Dollar Tree. 😆
Most of those people are Republicans around here.

Rich people live in gated communities. Is there a point to this?

Rather than create their own socialist utopia, all they’ve done is usher in the Brazilification of California society. They’ve completely ruined it. Any working stiff with a skill has either already left the building or is planning on it at some point, e.g. retirement. The people who are left must like riots, because they keep tolerating them. So maybe Trump should just stand back and let it all burn down, eh? Including Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, and Costco, with their prime-cut beef and Alaskan salmon filets?
Brazilification? Hell yeah. Brazilian women are hot.

Yes, Trump should stand back. They'll put out the fires when the steaks are medium rare. Trump's not invited.

Such an imagination.

Yeah, right. That’s why the state has had a Democratic supermajority since 2012. 😆 If we look at counties where the money is, like San Francisco, Santa Cruz, or Marin, Democratic registration normally exceeds or approaches 60%. If we toss in “independents,” it’s close to 90%. Who represents the wealthy communities in Silicon Valley, Beverly Hills, Malibu, and Pacific Palisades? Overall, there is one Republican for every three Democrats and independents in the state. That doesn’t leave much room for MAGA. A Republican in California is about as common as a West African Black Rhinoceros.

Like I said, Democrats have turned California into a dystopian version of Brazil, a country with a significant economy, but one that only benefits rich people and not the masses of poor people from whom rich people wall themselves in fortified and guarded buildings and enclaves. It’s economic apartheid, and hypocritical.

I don't live in "the state." I live in Northern Nevada, commonly referred to as Reno/Tahoe, but sometimes Reno-Sparks, the Truckee Meadows, or in census bureau terms, the Reno-Carson City-Fernley-Gardnerville Ranchos CSA.

You are supremely confused, so I'll leave you to your confusion.

There are extremist infiltrators involved in most protests. That shouldn't damn the rest of them. Then again...

You see this is the actual problem.

Whether or not there are agitators, it is on the protestors to police themselves or they will be policed.
To simply wave your hands and claim agitators, is an excuse. Excuses aren't a great place to hide, nor do they absolve the responsibility being on those there when trying to promote the 'peaceful' part of a protest.

So it damns the entire protest because the protestors are too (something) to police those who they agree with. Same problem with criminal acts done in public. People would rather grab their camera and film a woman getting beat by her husband than to stand up to the husband.

We are raising and have become a nation full of ******s.

I think you’re confused, because I never said or even suggested that you live in California. It’s not relevant to the discussion. 🤷‍♂️

My location is clearly visible. Your confusion has extended to thinking I'll accept this lie you're now telling.

Stick to what you know. The internet has failed you.

Also, the Visigoths and Vandals extended the life of the Roman Empire.

At least until they sacked Rome in the 4th Century, right? Rich Californians got a taste of what could happen in the wake of the George Floyd killing, when protesting “Have Nots” invaded shopping districts in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica with their “Eat the Rich” signs, accompanied by, well, vandals and looters. 🤷‍♂️

No, not even close.

Don't kill innocent black people and they won't protest. Simple enough even for a conservative to figure out. You'd think. Any idea when the last black was lynched in America?

Again, comparing what is happening now to an invading army means you spend too much time on the internet. Touch grass. Hell, go to Los Angelas. They don't have a lot of grass, but drive around the city and you'll find that 99% of it has nothing in particular even going on.

Seems like someone is lacking clarity, perhaps because he skipped his morning bong hit? 😉 I’m not talking about Northern Nevada. Who cares? It’s not relevant to anything I said. I’m referring to wealthy, populated areas of California. Even if you lived in Truckee, you and your friends would be the only people there, along with three coyotes and a screech owl.

Stick to what you know. The internet has failed you.

I know a lot about California and the LA Metro Area. I was born there. I grew up there. I spent decades there getting Eyewitness News reports on the the latest road-rage incident or gang killing. Then I got smart and left for the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where I now relax and enjoy the egrets, concerts, art festivals, restaurants, and beautiful sunsets. 😎🪭 When I’m not doing that I stream riots into my office and tell myself how glad I am that I’m not there. Brings back memories, just not good ones. 😕

However many either sign on the dotted line and agree to waive an immigration hearing, or who get their day in court along with an order of deportation. I assume you believe we’re a nation of laws, correct? Or do you argue that they only apply to Trump?

If you aren't for deporting 10% of LA, it doesn't sound like you're supporting the law.

Thoreau tells us to be men first, and then subjects. In other words, don't let the law strip us of our humanity.

Is that you call the looting of stores in Beverly Hills and the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica? A protest? “Thanks to racist cops I’m entitled to as many Gucci bags and pairs of Nikes as I can carry out the store!” 😆

Notice that the liberals in California followed the Nancy Pelosi January 6th Plan, and only “escalated” things by requesting aid from the National Guard after the riots had begun. But then an amazing thing happened: they stopped.

You’re ascribing way too much import to my metaphor, because that’s all it was. But I think there is a definite parallel between the fate of Roman society and what may await ours if we don’t figure out a way to resolve the festering and growing cultural divide between societal elites who live in their own social and economic bubbles and the plebeian masses.

If you aren't for deporting 10% of LA, it doesn't sound like you're supporting the law.

Like I said, I support deporting illegal aliens, including people with outstanding deportation orders or who agree to be deported. We did that before Obama became president and lit the fire under a migrant invasion by offering humanitarian parole to hundreds of thousand of Latin Americans. So if that’s 10% of LA, then 10% of LA should be deported until we change the law. Because we have limited resources, we should start with the illegal criminal aliens LA refuses to hold on immigration detainers. I mean, is it really that hard for liberals to understand that we’re a supposed to be a nation of laws and should follow them?

Thoreau tells us to be men first, and then subjects. In other words, don't let the law strip us of our humanity.

It’s a nice sentiment and interesting philosophical point that’s hearkens back to a similar one from Cicero:

The good of the people is the greatest law.

Unfortunately, the people didn’t save him from being beheaded and having his hands cut off thanks to his written support for the Roman Republic. And we all know what happened to the Western Roman Empire once people began thumbing their noses at the law and the social order.
