I will never forgive Biden and Garland for slow-walking Trump's prosecution. There is a direct line from that to...all this.

Mr Person, at this point if I could snap my fingers and remove every single sitting Democratic Senator and Representative and replace them with a random sample of the left-wing, liberal and progressive members of Debate Politics, I would. I think we would have a more cohesive, energetic and principled left-wing political opposition to the Trump Administration than what the Democratic Party is offering to the American people at this moment. Which, to be clear, is nothing beyond the resistance of a handful of individual politicians, one of whom (Bernie Sanders) is not even a Democrat.

If I had that magical power, yes. They are the worst political opposition in an actual developed open democracy one could possibly imagine. Wannabe dictators in developing democracies in Central and South America, Africa and Eastern Europe would kill to have an opposition this weak and ineffective. The Democrats biggest target is not their political opposition, but any single politician or political operative who tries to make the Party effective, whether that is David Hogg or Bernie Sanders, or The Squad.

That's because he wasn't detained. He said that he was forced out of the room, onto the ground and handcuffed. He was held too briefly for that term to apply.

Meanwhile, his statement was:

“If this is how this administration responds to a senator with a question, if this how the Department of Homeland Security responds to a senator with a question, you can only imagine what they’re doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California and throughout the country.”

He is certainly not sucking up or giving in. Yeesh.
 
It is time for California to liberate America from its federal tax monies, and other blue states would do well to consider the same thing ASAP.

Arresting the Mayor and Governor would be the best thing to ever happen to them and it will backfire on Trump and Noem spectacularly if it happens.
