Yes I am sure this isn't the end of the story. But I stand on the comment that yes indeed there is a license to lie in their everyday operations.

We have Snowden types where contractors the intelligence community hires are not being vetted extensively. After all look at the latest leak to WikiLeaks of CIA documents with much more damaging information to our intelligence community to still come.

Trump was surveilled and wiretapped, with GCHQ providing transcripts to Obama.
Both Clinton and Trump campaigns met with the Russian diplomats, but deny it.

It is vastly easier for a faithless insider to steal than it is to mount a "rogue" operation. Any "license to lie" does not rpt does not include lying to US authorities.

I disagree as all appointees to head our intelligence agencies are political appointees. They serve at the behest of the president that appointed them. They were picked for their ideology. Period.

Even basic historical facts, man -- the guy is a mess. OMG the snow is simply nasty today! My husband was just out on 93 near Manchester and he said there were cars all over the road, mostly driven by (as he described them) "dumb assholes in little cars with bald tires who don't know how to drive". I've been hunkered down here all day. Kids loved it!

They said on WMUR earlier that it was going to stop at about 5:00 am but it is slowing down some. The plow guy just showed up for the second time today. Ugh! Is it Spring yet?

Yeah, I don't get Napolitano. These conspiracy theories and bromance with Jones are enough to make me doubt anything he says. He is a loose cannon.

It can easily be found on the internet. You should start by reading up on or watching the interview I mentioned between the judge and Jesse Ventura. The judge thinks the government brought down WTC7 and thinks the Pentagon plane was also brought down by the government. There are probably hundreds of references you can find. The judge doesn't make his views on 9/11 a secret and they've been well known for years.

Spicer is desperately trying to perfume the pig now, so to speak. It's apparently another one of these Trump jokes he was famous for making on the campaign trail that were also explained away as "he didn't really mean that".

His base is clearly more strongly tied to him. They have been here for more than a week coming up with every excuse they can to demonstrate that Trump wasn't lying, when now Trump's very own people are putting out there that Trump didn't really mean it. Trump's loyal fans haven't seem to have gotten the memo since they're still on here twisting like pretzels and making up "proof" of Trump's claims. It's pretty sad.

I'm going to save this post in my favorites, because I can guarantee right here and now that you are exactly right when you say the Trump devotees, after it comes out that Trump's "evidence" consisted of something he watched on the television, will say "Haha, he got you!", after spending days and weeks here flopping about like fish trying anything at all to defend Trump.

The next time Turmp or Spicer or Conway or any spokesperson tries to pretend he did not accuse Obama of wiretapping his phones and try desperately to switch the goalposts - they need to be firmly grabbed by the lapels, slammed very hard up against a brick wall, and screamed in their face like a Marine drill sergeant who tells them to shut their lying piehole and crawl away before they get hurt for lying so much and not being able to back it up.

Until that happens every time one of these jerks pulls crap like that - this will only continue for the next four years.
