And now, the world is about to find out who has been seeing prostitutes - Republicans, Democrats, Lobbyists, Congressmen, Senators, and maybe even an upstanding preacher or 2. Palfrey is going to release the records, all 46 pounds of them, to the media. LOL.

With the injunction lifted, it appears Palfrey can now "distribute the records en masse to as many responsible journalists, press, media, bloggers in this country," as she has promised.

Gotta love that line.

it'll be interesting to see what the MSM will carry on about, and what talk radio will carry on about, once these names are released. Mostly, it shouldn't matter what these people have been doing in the privacy of a hotel room, but I suppose it can get blown out of proportion just like everything else sexual in this country.

I couldn't agree more, but since it matters to the lawmakers what you and I do in a hotel room, then it matters what they do too. Fair is fair, they should be equally accountable for violating stupid laws they insist on applying to the rest of us.

Is it illegal to sleep with a prostitute in D.C.?? I mean, I am all about them being busted for breaking the law, but if its not illegal in that area I don't see the problem. I mean, I am not aware of a law nationally that outlaws prostitution.

But, who is moron enough to be a politician, and go to a madame who is going to keep your name on record. I guess we'll find out.

I contacted them to see about getting a copy, so I'll let you know if they get back to me.

I got $10 saying that Clinton is on that list...even if he isn't. He'll somehow make it into the list.

Well that was quick...

Mr. XXXXXXX… please send your mailing address to the above cc. Once done, Mr. Sibley, my civil attorney will mail a disk containing the complete set of records from 1993 thru 2006, to you ASAP. –Sincerely, Jeane Palfrey

I'm not 100% sure that its illegal, but why would a Madam get busted if prostitution was legal? Not to mention that a lot of politicians pretend to have family values and the like.

I assumed it is, but maybe I'm wrong. Nevada is the only state I know of where it's legal, but I also realize that DC isn't a state so maybe you're right and it's not illegal. In which case I agree, it's not a problem.

Prostitution is illegal in DC.

Call my cynical but I'll bet you money anyone who's name is on that list will deny it and say she's making false claims or it was an office number anyone could have used etc. etc.

Now would be a good time for them to break the news to their wives, if they've not already done so.
I'm sure some of them were hoping they'd never have to.
Now, the choice boils down to this: tell your wife, or let her read about it in the paper.

I do wonder, though... why didn't these men use cash instead of credit cards, and give false names? Rent or borrow a car, so the prostitutes wouldn't have their license numbers and be able to track their identities that way.
Surely they knew the stakes were high and blackmail was a possibility.
Why don't men think of these things?
Just like a prostitute requires anonymity- right down to using a fake name- so too should her customers.
Men are just clueless sometimes, clueless.

Watch for the following:

1) On the Democratic side - Hundreds of new meanings of the word "is".

2) On the Republican side - A record number of Bill Clinton mentions - In fact, so many that some people will think Clinton is still president instead of Bush.

For some reason I really doubt that there's going to be many prominent people in this thing. If there was anything REAL big (i.e. >Congressman), it would have come out already.

This story is just as asinine as Paris Hilton stories are. Why is it any of your business who congressmen sleep with?

Well considering that the Washington establishmen hid a pedofile among them for a long time, then why would you think that a bunch of congressmen buying hookers will come out?

I agree, but its America and it matters.. look at Clinton.

Because they make it their business who we sleep with.

It is my business because they are the ones who are setting themselves up as paragons of virtue, and trying to tell me how to run my life. Otherwise, I would not even care. When they are telling everyone "Do as I say, not as I do", then the American people have a right to know how hypocritical they are. You see, its not the sleeping around, its the hypocrisy.

 That's what I was thinking too. Pay phone, cash, and some rented car. It really doesn't require more thought than that, but you know how men can be when it comes to sex. All logic and thoughts go out the window.
