Finally, the "proof" Mr. Trump promised:
I figured it was something like this when his Press Secretary said people were present when Mr. Trump made the call.
So, cue the nay-sayers who choose to believe a Congresswoman who admits she didn't hear the whole call, but strangely just the part she got up in arms about. :coffeepap:
This whole ordeal has been an utter embarrassment. Shame on the congresswoman for pissing on this soldier's grave, shame on the media who lapped it up like the cheap whores that they are, and shame on Trump for not, just one ****ing time, taking the high road. Finally, the "proof" Mr. Trump promised:

I think they've probably had their fill of being famous at this point. For many different reasons, EVERYONE should let this story die.Have you heard the Family disavow what the Congresswoman stated?

They don't have to...they are GRIEVING!
Stop treating them like a political football, which IMO is what the Congresswoman did.

Given the fact that his own son was killed in battle, I tend to think this matter struck a particular nerve with him and he was speaking from the heart. Plus, he was present during the call. I have a hard time believing that he would just swallow hard and "take one for the team" given these unique circumstances.I can't say with certainly. I figure it must suck BIGLY to kiss up to an AssHat President every day!

...
Note his Officer that informed him of his sons death, explained it as a Soldier would to another Soldier. Kelly explained that as such. Did you miss that?
Kelly took another fall for Trump

Why would you write something like this when you clearly know nothing about John Kelly.
The man has spent his life giving to our nation. And he and his wife gave a son. A Marine Corp General does NOT kiss up as you say to anyone!
A vile and stupid comment that is truly uncalled for. Shame on you!
Kelly attacked her- He is a political appt.

Thank you so very much for posting this clip of the statement of General Kelly - I didn't have the opportunity to see it live, so it was great to get access to it here.
How proud Americans should and must be that such a man has spent his life serving in the name of your country and honoring your nation so. What a fine man this gentleman is and what a great spokesman for both the White House and more importantly the young men and women who put their lives at risk every day in your armed services. I don't care about the dirty politics that are tarnishing this situation and I hope enough proud Americans see this and wash that dirt away as well.
As an aside, wouldn't this man be just an incredible President of your great country one day?
The problem is that with the political divide in America it is virtually impossible for any person with a shred of integrity that can make it through the political process in either party. Politics has become so nasty and corrupt in America that candidates like Trump and Hillary will likely be the norm. I don't have much faith in the future of our democracy in its current state.
I honestly don't have a hard time believing that at all, nor do I have a problem believing Trump probably was a cold narcissist in some of these phone calls to military families.Given the fact that his own son was killed in battle, I tend to think this matter struck a particular nerve with him and he was speaking from the heart. Plus, he was present during the call. I have a hard time believing that he would just swallow hard and "take one for the team" given these unique circumstances.
What the Congresswoman did was a textbook smear tactic.
You take a portion of what someone said, in this case a portion of a sentence, wrap her own narrative around it, and sit back and watch the usual suspects run with it.
Par for the course in this WH.Yesterday, Trump denied he said those words. Today, Kelly said he told Trump to use those words. Somebody’s not telling the truth.
