He probably won't be president but I am very impressed with John Kasich and his positive demeanor.

His record in Ohio has been impressive (particularly the budget and job growth). One of the most touching stories about John was how he found faith after his parents were killed by a drunk driver:

“My father was a postman that told me Johnny, you stand on your own two feet. You go out there and change the world," he said in the video.

“My parents were killed by a drunk driver but my parents did not die in vain - I was transformed. I discovered my purpose by discovering the Lord. I believe the Lord put us on this Earth to use the gifts we’ve been given to bring about a healing.”

From everything I read he seems like a good father to his children and a good husband. He probably is too normal to become President. I really sense he cares about the average citizen and is the only Republican that talks about helping the mentally ill and drug addicts.

It is an act, the guy has low social IQ and tends to enjoy being a prick.

Gov. John Kasich thinks he's normal.

Defying a mountain of evidence to the contrary, Kasich recently told voters in New Hampshire the reason many view him as "unorthodox" is actually, "Because I'm normal."

Kasich is many things. Normal isn't one of them.

In fact, as Kasich prepares to run for president, expect more people to suggest in public what many who know him have been whispering in private for years.
Indelicate though it may be, it's a question worth asking:

Is John Kasich too big a jerk to be president?
.
.
.
Reports of Kasich mistreating people — especially those whose stations in life might not be as lofty — have been out there for years. But the closer one gets to the presidency, the greater the media scrutiny becomes. If Kasich begins to climb in the polls, expect to hear from some of those waiters, waitresses and other service employees with grievances. Temperament is a legitimate issue in a campaign for the White House.

If Kasich can persuade voters to look past his odious personality and elect him president, it will be a win for the ages.

That maybe true but his odious personality is a breath a fresh air compared to "The Donald" and Ted Cruz.

Rubio seems to have a good background and comes down-to-earth as well, however his record as a Senator is..... unimpressive.... to say the least.

Kasich at least has a record of balancing the budget in his state and on the federal level.

He is ****ing creepy leading crying sessions on stage and giving out hugs.

I dont want to give the POTUS chair to a guy that has that many internal short circuits.

Relating and consoling people with emotional stories is creepy, yet this guy isn't creepy at all.

Trump is consistent, Kasich is creepy because he acts deranged.

Look, I love the way Trump acts with his family, I used to know a lot of guys like that in my very conservative Midwest town. I would trust them with my life, they are the most solid dependable guys I have ever met, with great hearts.

Yet you like Trump. Talk about short circuits. Trump has less skin than Obama, he just surrounds himself with more paid-for yes men, and Obama has been thoroughly enjoying Trump's candidacy.

You might want to check out the thread I started about Kasich back in february. A lot has happened since then, but it all rests on Ohio!

I would have trouble to relating to Trump on any personal level.

Trump consistent??? Maybe in his I am great way, but he is anything but consistent. He has flip flopped on everything he has ever said!!!!

I understand that you do not undertand. We shall have to leave it there, for now.

It is an act, Trump is practically unflappable.

Consistently inconsistent.

Yes, I'm sure, in the midwest, you met just TONS of guys who were just like blue-collar, salt-of-the-earth Donald Trump.

Chirp.... chirp.... chirp....

:D

I am a Ohio voter and I will vote Kasich. He use to be the Rep in my district. He will do very well in the 12th district (eastern Franklin, Licking and Delaware counties), basically North and East Columbus counties. He'll even win Columbus. Don't know about Cleveland. Winning Cleveland in primary means nothing as it will go Democrat in November.

Kasich is my man. He is the only one left in the race who is not some kind of a nut. I'll give Bernie kudos for having integrity and being honest but he's still nuts.

I intend on voting for Kasich. He's the only adult in the race.

Kasich promises amnesty to illegals.

Then you might as well close your eyes and throw a dart. He's folding to buy the Latino vote. Business as usual. Citizens please go to the back of the employment line.

I'm thinking that after witnessing the Trump immigration position, and the mobs of people "hooray'ing," it, anybody with an "R" by their name has already lost the latino vote. That ship done sailed.

Not really. The Latino vote is fragmented.

Imagine you are an expat living in Mexico, and a bunch of poor illegals hop the border and hurt your reputation and undercut your wages. How would you feel.

Many middle class Mexicans are fed up with peasants pretending to be one of them, not to mention filling their schools and hitting on their daughters. The age of consent in Mexico is thirteen. They are a very class conscious society.

I'm a huge Kasich fan. My husband voted for him in NH and I was really torn, even standing in the voting booth, between him and Rubio.

I would enthusiastically support him if he could win the nomination.
