Joe Rogan explains why liberal media 'hemorrhaging' audiences: 'You're not accurate, you're delusional'

I’m

How cute, Liberals trying to educate us about misinformation. 🤣 🤣 🤣

People can say they distrust the press all they want, but they don’t know why they distrust the press. The press has plenty of problems, including with judgment calls and an exaggerated sense of self.
Nonsense. Americans know what's going on with the legacy news media. They are tired of being lied to and them being just an extension of the Democratic Party. They are tired of hearing nothing but President Trump bashing 24/7. His election win should be considered a big middle finger to the legacy news media.

You don't seem to give the American people much credit.

Nevertheless, people want entertainment and they are lazy.
Again, not giving the American people enough credit. If someone wants entertainment they will go somewhere like TikTok or Netflix. I don't ever recall saying to myself "hey I would like to be entertained, I think I'll turn on Fox News". Your entire post is complete nonsense.

That’s why alternative media is rising.

That’s also why I’m less than interested in catering to the lowest common denominator by feeding the Joe Rogans of the world.
It's not alternative media, it's the present and future media. It's what has replaced legacy media like CNN and MSNBC. It does not necessarily cater to the lowest common denominator either. It gives people endless options to obtain information and that is nothing but a good thing.

Are you still living in the 1990's?

I don't think they do at all, and much of what's in this thread indicates people in general don't either. Some of the conclusions here are laughably absurd like this notion that MSNBC is failing because people don't want to be lied to; is there even opinion polling to help support that or is it just pulled out of a hat?

Of course the flaw in your idea that Americans are tired of being lied to doesn't really work when the top rated cable news network was sued for doing exactly that and it ended up settling for a record amount of money. The other news network that did that (Newsmax) also had to do the same. The more mundane reason cable TV news has been in decline is changing methods people are consuming news among the generations.

The broadcast and cable television audience skews much older, and the younger generations are turning to other sources for news; mainly social media that aggregates news articles, and podcasts.

Except Fox News is no different. It caters to a very particular audience and skews its news in the same way CNN, MSNBC et.al do and mainly because it is in their best financial interest to do so.

Sure it does, because the bottomline is this political bifurcation makes money and draws in an audience. If what you posited were remotely accurate, C-Span would be a massive success.

I must really be in your head! What does that chart from 2021 have to do with anything? Is that the best you can do?

You reply to my post only to criticize Fox News and to give me passive aggressive insults.

I can see you really put some time into writing that, however there really isn't much sauce there.

I'm a generous, giving person.
Thus, if I can help the "challenged" crawl out of the abyss of ignorance, it's my way of giving back to the community.

IMO, their ratings have crashed because the faithful are disheartened over the scale of Trump's victory and are most likely doing everything they can to ignore the pain, and that includes avoiding the news. Facing up to reality of a difficult situation is not exactly a distinguishing characteristic of the Progressive left.

When the Trump administration starts having its problems -- as every administration does -- they'll be back with cries of "see, we warned you!"
I think this is mostly right. I've cut way back of my news viewing. Not so much as to ignore the pain, but for the fact that this usually a fairly quiet time in politics. Other than cabinet selections, there is not much of anything going on.

I'll admit, I was surprised by Harris's loss. But I've accepted it, and life goes on. We will fight when it's time to fight. I will especially enjoy watching the Trump administration implode. It's not a matter of if but when.

I must really be in your head!
Not at all. This is a debate forum where if you post something, people will respond.

What does that chart from 2021 have to do with anything?
It has to do with the topic, and if you were familiar with what's going on in media as a whole, you'd know the numbers in those charts have grown in terms of the number of young people viewing content on streaming/mobile devices.

Is that the best you can do?
No, but it's enough to add some much needed accuracy to your post.

You reply to my post only to criticize Fox News and to give me passive aggressive insults.
I did not criticize it nor did I insult you. I can't help it if you have some self esteem issues and find genuine critiques of your post as passive aggressive insults.

I can see you really put some time into writing that, however there really isn't much sauce there.
There's plenty of sauce there, and the home made kind rather than processed sauce out of a bottle.
:)

I don't think it's unique to just that group, but rather with all groups who identify with politics on a very personal level. When Trump won we had protests and some violence by those who vehemently opposed him and we had the same when Trump lost. Media echo chambers for both sides of the spectrum have been fairly predictable as well.

Dicks gonna dick. Rogan is a dick.

That's not codensending at all. It's OK though, you do occasionally provide me with a source of entertainment.

That is absurd. Every major news outlet that I know of has a mobile app. Therefore their product is available to stream on one's chosen device. Unbelievable.
No, but it's enough to add some much needed accuracy to your post.
My post stands very well own it's own, thank you very much. It doesn't need correcting by someone who doesn't understand how information is consumed.
I can't help it if you have some self esteem issues and find genuine critiques of your post as passive aggressive insults.
That's something someone would say when their sauce is too weak. You need to turn the heat down on that sauce and let it simmer for a few hours to thicken it up.

A very healthy attitude, IMO.

I would add that cabinet selections become really interesting stuff when one’s work can be affected by Washington. Trust me on this one.

Maybe Trump is just Andy Kaufman in a wrestling match. He can only win if his opponent is a girl.

Are you suggesting Democrats are made up of a lot of effeminate girlie men who've lost any semblence of their manhood?

That's not codensending at all. It's OK though, you do occasionally provide me with a source of entertainment.
It isn't. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether some people understand how forums work, and confuse them with blogs.

That is absurd. Every major news outlet that I know of has a mobile app. Therefore their product is available to stream on one's chosen device. Unbelievable.
It isn't, and this statement shows you don't understand news aggregation in other social media sites as a means of viewing content, which is by and large how younger generations are accessing content.

My post stands very well own it's own, thank you very much. It doesn't need correcting by someone who doesn't understand how information is consumed.
It doesn't, at least not if your attempt was to provide accurate insight into what's going on in news media.

That's something someone would say when their sauce is too weak. You need to turn the heat down on that sauce and let it simmer for a few hours to thicken it up.
You're the one whinging, so I'll leave it to you to sort your own issues out.

Most people in thus country are little more than programmable automatons. Precious few ask the questions "Is this right? Is this true? Is this consistent? Does this make sense? Does this match the values I purport to follow?"

Instead, people simply chose one of two tribes and become subjects to a series of conditioned responses. Their little peeps praise them for their virtue if they say one thing and condemn them if they say something else.

Imagine listening to Joe Rogan's opinion, a man who repeatedly calls himself a moron.

Entertaining watch of MsNBC on Election night. Its not a short video. Its to be enjoyed with your adult beverage of choice. Savor both:
