On the heels of yesterday’s news that Glenn Beck was being dropped by his New York radio station, Jewish Funds for Justice, a group that has sparred with Beck in the past, is launching a campaign to keep him out of that market for good.

From their release:

Simon Greer, president and CEO of Jewish Funds for Justice (JFSJ), applauded WOR’s decision to remove Mr. Beck from its programming. WOR is one of the nation’s leading conservative talk radio stations. Following WOR’s decision to remove Glenn Beck, JFSJ is calling on other New York City area radio stations to keep Glenn Beck off the air.

“WOR’s decision to remove Glenn Beck tells me that even conservative listeners are rejecting Mr. Beck’s fear speech, anti-Semitism and Holocaust revisionism,” said Simon Greer, president and CEO of The Jewish Funds for Justice. “This should come as no surprise. For too long, Mr. Beck has been given a large megaphone for his hate mongering. Too often he has crossed the line of decency and blatantly demonized people he disagrees with. We believe that New York City, with its incredible diversity and large Jewish community, is rejecting Beck and we will encourage other radio stations to learn from WOR experience and not pick up his syndicated show.”

These people are nothing more than progressive socialists, that advocate for the redistribution of wealth. This group is also funded by you know who.... George Soros. That's right, JFJ receives funding from George Soros's Open Society Institute, which gave the organization $150,000 in 2009 and $200,000 in 2010.

They are nothing more than far left "community organizers" who just as ACORN, promote America's transformation into a socialist hell.

And btw, it should come as no surprise to anyone, that this story came from Media Matters... That's where he copied it from, not the Politico.

You obviously do not understand the concept at all. Perhaps you should learn what it means before accusing others falsely.

The first amendment frames the relationship betwen the citizen and the state, and not between two citizens. Since nobody is advocating his arrest, there is no conflict with the first amendment.

Just for clarification... I take it you had issues with the first and last parts, not the 2nd and 3rd? I've seen worse than the 2nd and 3rd in almost every thread on the board, CC. And I was called a liar outright by PB... you don't see me complaining or whining about it.

They would not be able to censor him, only the radio or tv stations that operate in the NYC area would be able to remove him from the airwaves. They might do it because of pressure applied by the private group, but that is not censorship in any real form. Or at least no more then when groups protest Walmart for having more explicit cd's, video games or movies for sale. Which has caused Walmart to remove some items for sale
