I'm fully involved I government, I come to legislative hearings in Olympia, attend county board of commissioner meetings, read the paper daily, and participate in public events hell I've even worked on political campaigns, so it's an educated anecdote, most people who are not involved daily in politics don't have the foggiest notion of how government works. I can provide examples in a list as long as your arm that I've personally witnessed.

Especially how Conservatives witnessed the way they unanimously obstructed Obama and DEMs to win elections since 2010.

Meanwhile, trump only won your state by 9%.

3 of your GOP reps had their CDs won by Clinton and I'm sure they're aware of that .

I agree with your post here. I think that most Americans lack the political knowledge/interest level that you or i might have.

However, they don't have to already know the intimate details for it to be effective political ammunition. When the details of the nuclear option are explained, much of the American public seems to be not terribly fond of such steamrolling.
