We just had Christmas with the extended family and NO ONE asked, "Why aren't you married? Who are you dating? I have the perfect guy for you!"

It's a miracle!

Yay! That totally sucks when that happens.

PS Love your new avatar.

Thanks, YourStar!

I don't know if my family has just decided that I'm never going to get married or they think I'm gay or something. Either way... at least they aren't annoying me about it anymore!

Why aren't you married Josie? Your dp family wants to know? :2razz:

My family never asks me those questions. They never have either... My mom even told me that I shouldn't have kids, because she doesn't think I'd be a good parent.

Are you the only child, Josie? Why are they so anxious for you to have children?

Congrats!!

I know how annoying that **** is. Despite my youth, my mother's side of the family has been bugging me about "finding a nice boy" for a while. "Career? Women don't need one of those! Don't want kids? Lies, you'll grow out of it."

...Until I finally got fed up and told them exactly what I think about children, marriage, and them bugging me about it.

It hasn't come up since.

I feel your relief. It took me years to get my married friends (and family) to STOP trying to "fix me up" with someone. (Everybody they tried to hook me up with was lame anyway. )

Exactly. With my family (the ones I rarely see), it seems like they just tried to think of ANY single guy and said, "You should go out with him!" They don't even have a clue what I'm looking for.

My family tried setting me up with a girl once. They never did it again.

There are ways to make sure they stay out of it. I pity the conversation my date had with my family, wondering if I have an ongoing flatulence problem and why I have to readjust my junk every 5 minutes.

You should of dressed like one of the Jersey Shore cast, just to really stick it to them.

I will marry within few months ,but ı still think that a signature never means a real love...

Because they know I am there.
