You need to research Operation Horev, the objective of which was to entrap the Egyptian Army in and at Gaza and the outcome of that particular conflict was an armistice by which Israeli forces withdrew and Egypt (re-)gained control of Gaza.

If you have any historical evidence of Israel having destroyed Gaza city in 1948, provide it.

What's even more interesting is that you pick on this, relatively minor mistake imo, to ignore the thrust of their post which was that Israeli/Jewish control over Gaza as been, historically, something of the blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things.
