If supporting the Palestinian people in the face of genocide costs the loss of the Israeli embassy, I would pay it 10 times over.

What was the hamas plan, when they launched their attack?

Sounds good. Words should have consequences. YOu want to side with hamas, that has a cost.
Cool. You prolly aren't giving real thought to your inane quip. Which is good. It's confessional. Your formula puts Israel on the wrong side of not wanting dead kids and illegally occupied lands, which is (inadvertently) honest, just and true.

I highly doubt Ireland is going to miss having a diplomatic relationship with Israel entirely on Israel's terms, we've already seen what others have to do in order to be in Netanyahu's good graces and there is no reason to go along with Netanyahu's genocide tour ensuring their nation's danger for generations to come.

What do you think Hama's plan was, when they launched their attack?

Wouldn't it seem like a bad idea to shut down communication with someone you think is going the wrong direction and doing you harm?

Not to force the Israelis to close their Dublin embassy so I’ll invite you to stay on topic.

Actually, it was, generally speaking.

And you are playing your role perfectly.

You are supporting the plan of the people that WANTED this, and consider the war there, the way to go forward.

You are supporting their plan to achieve their goals and to have more power and control over events.

not sure. But being on hamas' side, is not likely to work out for anyone, in the long run. IMO.

Ireland’s support of the Palestinian people long predates the existence of Hamas. If you’re struggling with the distinction between an oppressed people and a terrorist organisation, look at the reference in my OP. Support for the Nationalists in the north of Ireland was not necessarily support for the IRA.

Your action from the op, of supporting the genocide petition, is supporthing hama's plan.

Perfectly.

THey should send you a fruit basket in thanks.

Should have been done ages ago. Ireland is ridiculously antisemitic even by European standards.

Boohoo. Here in Ireland, we don’t much like the way the Israelis treat the Palestinians. Has a historical resonance with us, you know?

Ireland isn't capitulating to genocidal Netenyahoo, so Israel turns their back on them. Talk about a childish move by Israel.

Judging by the comments it doesn’t seem like much of a loss to either.

They’re probably still a tad salty about Oct. 7. Hell, I’m still salty about 9/11.

Funny to you, was it?

The deflection? Yes it was. You people who religiously back Israel keep going back to it like catnip.
