Published yesterday, here is Israel's first official report on the gaza operation on pdf.
Learn the Israeli side of the story.

In this is the official Israeli government report on the Gaza opertaion.
some of the aspect its trying to answer are the attack on UN facilities and on Gaza citizens. it is stated that there are over a 100 internal investigation of human rights violation inside gaza and 13 investigation that are going to be viewd by the governments legal consul (meaning a high chances of trial).

Basically, Israel position about the UN facilities were attcked due to high proximity with Hammas militant.

"During the fighting in Gaza, the IDF faced a major challenge in avoiding damage to U.N. and other international and sensitive facilities. In the densely populated Gaza Strip there. are over 750 United Nations facilities, and almost 1,900 sensitive facilities in total.
. The challenge was made many times more difficult by Hamas’ strategic placement of terrorist units and missile launching squads in close proximity to these sites..."

In addition, does anyone know how many internal investigations of human rights violations relative to Hamas and it sister terrorist organizations firing over 8,000 rockets aimed at civilian non-combatants inside the sovereign country of Israel were conducted by radical leftwing organizations masquerading as human rights organizations and NGOs?:mrgreen:

There is nothing inherently wrong or criminal in using white phosphorous. Virtually every military in the world (yes even Britain) uses WP for signals, illumination, and masking purposes.

White phosphorus weapons are controversial today because of their potential use against civilians. While the Chemical Weapons Convention does not designate WP as a chemical weapon, various groups consider it to be one.

Usage of WP violates no International law. The accepted WP caveat is that civilians/combatants should not be *purposefully* targeted. Thus, even if casualties from WP burns do occur, purposeful targeting cannot be either presumed or assumed due to the fact that neither humans nor WP particles are static. Both possess locomotion capability. Anyone with military experience easily understands that it is impossible to anticipate such conjunctions.
 
Is it relly different if someone die by a bullet? maybe being a death by a mortar bomb is more human, what is it with people and WP? being shot by 0.5 inch browning is better? what about decimating an area with MK19 mod3? I assure you I fired all theese weapons (just in training) and all of them are deadly alot more then WP wich by the way can be treated. just need to scrath and clean it with water. while you cant treat 0.5inch bullets I assure you

Still if your using a weapon like that in densly populated areas then doesnt that show a reckless disregard for civllians, even if they arent targeted?

What you mean to say is... doesn't that show a Hamas reckless disregard for civilians? Hamas chose the battleground, not Israel.

Agreed (contrary to popular belief im not actually a huge fan of Hamas). Though the KLA choose the battleground in Kosovo, that didnt justify the Serbian responce.

The Serbs responded with internment camps and mass executions. Nothing even remotely similar occurred in the Gaza incursion.

There both very different im just saying that the whole "these people are hiding among civillians therefore what happens is their fault" justification doesnt really work when taken to its logical conclusion.

No Dave. Hamas chose to do battle in a civilian environment in civilian attire. Both actions are war crimes. Put the blame where it rightfully belongs.

Being honest DOES impair one's ability to propagandize. If the alternative is to create propaganda such as Pallywood does, replete with staged events, fabricated stories, and the complete twisting of cause and effect, then perhaps it is a good thing, eh?


The real reason people listen to the Pallywood cr@p instead of Israel, though, is raw numbers. People succumb to the fallacy of the argumentum ad populum, and since there are so terribly few Jewish people in the world, their voices are drowned out by their haters. What occurs with Israel the country is just the same as what has occured to diaspora Jews living in small communities within the greater communities of Europe in that a sense of otherness too easily turns into xenophobia, which creates distrust to the point of hatred. It's just a numbers game at it's heart. True, with Jewish people specifically, that numbers game has resulted in various very predictable canards that act out as if written in a script -- both for Jews as individuals and Israel as a country -- but the genesis for the hatred lies in numbers.

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing I'd say Jewish people suck at is proselytization (which, of course, they simply do not do) . Heck, with a two millenia head start over Islam, could you just imagine how the situation might be different if Jewish people were out there trying to convert people?

Besides, Jews aren't allowed to be missionaries (their choice) so Islam and Christianity will always have one up on Judaism because they simply refuse to spread the word of the Torah.

What sways peoples opinion is numbers but not hate. Right or wrong it is still true
13 Israeli's compared to 1,000+ - It doesn't take a genius to realise which side will gain more sympathy

If 1,000 Israelis died and 13 Palestinians. I'd stake alot on the fact the world sympathy would be on Israel's side.
