I think it's important to separate bitcoin from blockchain, which has many useful applications beyond cryptocurrencies:

I'm not really a fan of bitcoin at all, but blockchain is a really useful technology that I believe will have a future even if cryptocurrencies don't.

thanks for the links too. I’m invested in Tezos, The Graph, and Polkadot. I’ll read these links

You sound upset. Lol. Okay then. You hate blockchain because of “limitations”. I was just curious why.
Upset? Me? I've pointed out some facts. You are the one who literally just destroyed his own monitor he was so furious. You just replaced it with a new one. Calm down, man. Stop destroying your office because you're so angry someone disagrees with you. It's not the end of the world. Stop making death threats.

Wow, now you're literally shooting a gun at your keyboard. Dude. Get help.

I think you wish you had bought bitcoin a long time ago and it enrages you that you’ve been wrong in your predictions and missed out on making a fortune

Projection. You're watching the numbers tank and are lashing out. Don't worry, dude. They go up and down.

I’m a long term guy. I don’t know what bitcoin will do in the short term and I don’t much care.

This isn’t a stock. It isn’t a new form of money. It’s an incredibly expensive beanie baby.

Look at the long term bitcoin chart compared to beanie babies.
Beanie babies were a fad, although I think some still fetch good money.

Elon Musk said last week Tesla will no longer accept cryptocurrency for cars. His excuse was something to do with environmental concerns, but he's full of shit. The problem is that the currency is a house of cards and he doesn't want to be holding the bag when it all falls down.
The two can go hand in hand. Bitcoin mining takes up a lot of power.

Shit, I just poured 500 bitcoins into Dutch Tulips. You guys don't think I'll lose my money, right?
Can I live on one of your spare private islands?

Sure, if you like Dutch Tulips. I'm breeding them.
I have wired you my life savings to invest in your massively profitable business. More is on the way as soon as the loan against my house clears.

You said it's not a currency, and here you are substituting it as one.

It's obviously been used as a currency. That cannot be denied. I just don't think it can, at this time, be used as a common currency.
Yes, genius, that's what we're saying.

I'm elaborating on my stance, genius. You keep contesting me on things I haven't even stated.

Yet another ****ing straw man, I'm done.

Lol, how is that a strawman? Are you just upset I destroyed your argument? You stated,

"Except it's a particularly absurd commodity because it's not even a physical object. It's a digital key"

You don't like it I pointed out 90+% of world currencies are digital because you blew your argument about physical currency out of the water. Probably best you didn't even respond. Next time don't talk about things you obviously know nothing about.

Dimon has no reason to oppose that decision, even if he believes Bitcoin is a crap investment. The bank opens a fund, and this one they say is "actively managed" for some inexplicable reason, which means higher fees than an ETF or similar, people pile their money into it because there is a demand for the 'hottest' investment out there and it's nice the BTC fund is right there on the same statement as their stocks and other investments, the bank rakes its 3% or whatever fees off the top, maybe some commissions, and if the value crashes by half or 90%, they still 'win' through the fees.

Dimon stated bitcoin is a fraud. As a head CEO of a company would you sell something you believe to be a fraud to your customers?

Umm, you okay, dude?

They will and they have. Subprime mortgage bonds.

I don’t think you know what currencies are.

It's funny because anyone who has invested in bitcoin longterm is well aware of the volatility and know there are going to be these blow-off-top periods. And when it happens all the haters come out of the woodwork and screech, "SEE! We told you it's a SCAM!" And yet, here we are, still up 50% for the year. *sigh*

That's rich coming from someone who thinks currency only comes in physical form. 😂
It’s interesting that to buy anything with bitcoin you have to transfer it to that “physical currency”

It’s almost like nobody actually wants the bitcoin they want the dollars the bitcoin represents

Actually, I thought you were Deuce, but now I see you are also defending the ridiculous claim that currencies are always physical items. This is rich.

And you are dead wrong. Come back to me when you are actually informed on the topic.

I actually don’t think that currencies have to be in physical forms. I just don’t think that bitcoin is going to replace the dollar anytime soon

It’s an inferior currency to the physical dollar. And has no purpose outside of a Ponzi scheme to make the current holders wealthy
