Is Hamas above criticism?

(BTW, there is plenty of criticism and contempt of Hamas, does not have to be either or.)

No. Hamas’s past atrocities are not forgotten. They are just being overshadowed by Israel’s current and ongoing genocide against Gazan Palestinians.

This would be like trying to draw the conversation back to all the German children who died during World War I as a result of the British blockade of Germany, while in the middle of World War 2 after the Holocaust was in full swing and the corpses of Jewish, Gypsy and Slavic children were being stuffed into crematoria ovens. Or discussing how horribly the Tutsi treated the Hutu in Rwanda during the Belgian occupation during the late 1800s while Hutu militiamen are busily hacking up Tutsi men, women and children with machetes. What exactly is the motivation for trying to discuss these past atrocities other than to paper over the current atrocities?

In principle, what do you think is particularly bad about Hamas that merits our attention or criticism? If you can articulate such a principle, then you might see why other people are discussing Israel at the present more than Hamas.

Sounds like Israel shouldn’t have committed genocide if it didn’t want to be criticized for it.

Just ignored. When a person brings up Hamas it is dismissed for any number of reasons... but my favorite is getting called a Nazi.

Palestinians and Arabs launched three invasions of Israel and have launched thousands of missiles at Israel.

Common knowledge but you act as if some case needs to be make it valid. Then it is just dismissed. LOOL

The reason why there aren't a lot of threads criticizing Hamas is because Hamas is almost universally condemned. There's not really much point in starting a debate when everyone agrees on something.

Not, but I thought you would be wise enough to know the difference between Hamas and the Palestinian people. Mind you, some people see them as the same thing. Like all Germans in my parent's time were Nazis.

The people who are responsible for the majority of posts here are quite vocal of their support for Hamas.
