Yep, just what I figured. Btw, #2 never happens.
I beg to differ on that. The embassy crisis alone is enough reason to undermine the regime, let alone their rabid anti-Americanism, support of terrorism, and nuclear proliferation.Really, nothing needs to be done to Iran.
Besides, this empire is waning, other countries are growing more assertive. There is a balancing of power under way.
If the US is so bad to you, why stay?
Neither Afghanistan or Iraq or Iran have cried for America to come do anything.

We're losing out? We're just getting started! We brought down the Soviet Union; you think we can't handle a backwards theocracy?

The latest news I could find about the Iranian "navy" was from four days ago:

You don't know where I stay.
I could be wrong, but I could have swore that one of your posts in another thread had you admitting that you were a US citizen....ah well, I don't really care where you live. For all I know it is in Iran, or Venezuela....But my guess is that you're just another disgruntled OWSer that is suffering from opposition defiance disorder at heart, so as a matter of course it is fun to bat you around for a while, but you soon grow tiresome....Have a nice day.
They pretty much started it by storming our embassy. And before you bring up the 1950s coup, many conservative Iranians - including the clergy that would later come to rule the country - had already opposed Mossadegh. And you deny that there is rabid anti-Iranianism.
22 years ago we outlasted and outmaneuvered the mighty Soviet Union. 14 years ago we assisted in the downfall of Milosevic. 13 years ago we booted the Taliban out of Afghanistan, hopefully for good. 11 years ago we toppled Saddam without much difficulty and left behind a relatively stable Iraq. Two years ago we got rid of Gaddafi. And now, we'll (hopefully) vanquish Assad and flip Putin the bird while we're at it. I'd say we're still in the game.Your missing the decline too? Ok Mad.
No. Apparently you've missed the failings.
Three responses to the same post is a little much, don't you agree?

I'm not entirely sure what this even means.

Goodness, you might think there was actually something WRONG with stoning women to death for being raped or hanging homosexuals in the public square!
So happy to have folks like you setting us straight on the subject.
I know, they are a pretty evil dictatorship, and it's kind of disturbing the lengths to which some go to defend this extremist regime.
The defense is a product of acting out. People with immature world views who only know what they are against but not what they are for all too easily fall into the trap of thinking the enemy of their enemy is their friend. Their childish support of the Mullahs is their way of sticking it to the man.

Of course there is something wrong with that. But you fix all the **** that's ****ed up right here at home, and then will talk about Iran, Burma and Argentina.
So happy to have folks like you always looking to rid the world of its evils, overlooking the ones under your own nose.
Taliban are not out of AfPak, Assad is winning his war of attrition, Libya is FUBAR ( ****ed up beyond all recognition)Three responses to the same post is a little much, don't you agree?

Gracious sakes alive, we have a government stoning women to death right here and I didn't even know?
Why haven't you alerted me before now? :doh
